    Look what Santa brought me:

The Atari 2600 Flashback 5 comes with 92 games.

Just like the original games do.

    That's good.

I see it also uses the original controller ports which is awesome. Sega Genesis controllers work in that interface too.

The presence of the ports doesn't mean jack. I have a sega genesis retro console with such ports but genesis controllers don't function with it (they connect, but don't actually work). The ports are just there for some custom wired controllers you can buy for the system (the default controllers are wireless, and only work properly if you are lined up perfectly, hence why I wanted to use my actual genesis controllers).
I also have an atari flashback 4 which has controller ports, but I never got around to trying any actual controllers on it.

Oh. Well when I had a real 2600, a Genesis controller worked on it. Which I thought was pretty cool because it seemed a lot more responsive than the old joysticks.

I was walking around a store and saw they had Intellivision and Colecovision versions of the Flashback system. They even come with the overlays.

Like back in the days, have fun play it hard before giving the seal of approval. A red blister.

I intend to buy both the Intellivision and the Colecovision Flashbacks when they go on sale someplace.

Yeah, I know the genesis controllers work on a real 2600. I got a used 2600 years ago & it's joystick was pretty wonky. I had my genesis sitting there & noticed that the plugs looked the same & was rather amazed when I plugged it in and it worked perfectly.

I bought one for my son years ago that was just the Atari 2600 VCS controller and had just six games. These emulators are kinda crappy.
