    Inspired by Bassman's recent thread on sounds, what smells provoke memories or general feelings of nostalgia for you? I have a few off the top of my head:

    Crayons
    Newly opened toys
    Christmas Trees

    The smell of new plastic or rubber dolls and toys.
    The sort of musty smell of old books.
    Nestles Quik
    new pencils and erasers
    vanilla incense. reminds me of the first time I went to the local renaissance festival
    Don't pay any attention to the evil spirited and dead of heart. They're not worth your time.

    Really? Gasoline is one of those things you smell on an almost continual bases. Most things that make one nostalgic are because they haven't been experienced in ages. You must not own a car

    New carpet...often reminds me of when my dad installed new carpet in my bedroom after getting me a new bed when I was 14 (in 8th grade) back in the fall of 1978!!!

    the combination of the smell of a chlorinated pool and hot pizza
    freshly printed comics
    new unpackaged cards (magic pokemon comic baseball)
    wet pine and peppermint.
    the smell of tangled christmas lights (come on you know they have a smell)

    I have so many I can't even seem to think, I'll have to add to this list as I remember them
    look, it's me. I'm here, deal with it and let's move on

    Mulberry for some reason I haven't figured out yet. Every time I smell it I remember SOMETHING but not sure what if that sounds right lol

    new school supplies especially pencils erasers or pencil pouches
