I use to love this show when i was young I don't know why but for soem reason I loved The Busy World of Richard Scarry.I haven't seen anyone talking about it so I thought i would ask see if there are any fans of the show
I use to like the worm I am not sure of his name its been long long time since I seen this show but I remember loving thw worm.....I think it might have aired on Nick JR for a little while as it aired with Eureeka Castle and all that good stuff.....
I know something else I wanted to ask about did anyone like the movie it use to air on Disney alot "Kids Of The Round Table" that movie was the best when I was young I skipped school just to see it lol
Man I loved that cartoon on Nick Jr. I had those Richard Scarry learning books too. The cartoon seems like such a distant memory today cus it actually TAUGHT SOMETHING to kids they could use.

i never knew there was a cartoon for it, but i used to read some of the books all the time.
i know there was 1 book that had something to do w/ following the mailman around on his route, and a pickle truck had crashed or something and there was a pickle hidden on every page throughout the book..actually, come to think of it, i think that was the only richard scarrybook i ever read, but i loved it!
I didnt really watch the videos too often, I enjoyed the books. I just remember there being a huge thick hard-cover book...(might have been huge for a 5 yr old) that I check-out every other week in elementary school.
THe worms name is Lowly the worm if my memory serves me.
I remember this show a lot. It was one of my favorites. I remember this one episode in specific, when the main character (the yellow cat) got his tonsils removed, but he was too scared to do it at first, but afterwards, they gave him lots of ice cream and he was happy again.
I read the Richard Scarry books a lot as a kid. Awesome. I enjoyed how they'd teach me, like, how paper was made in a mill, or other things. Very enjoyable books.

That was one of the only reasons I watched Nick Jr. That, and Eureka's Castle.

Richard Scarry name is holy to me. I remember one of the first books I had as a 3 year old was a picture book by him. When I was slightly older his book "What Do People Do All Day" was the only thing that I would read for weeks on end. It was a school library book, and I desperately wanted not to return it, I loved it that much! I have been looking for a copy ever since so that I could give it to my kids one day. I also had a Scarry book on cassette that I wore out playing so many times.
On the first Christmas with my then girlfriend, now wife, she bought me a Richard Scarry Book: "The Best Story Book Ever". It sits right next to my computer.
And althrough I was a teenager when it was on, I did not miss the Busy World of Richard Scarry.
Hey I used to watch this show on Nick Jr. I remember between cartoons they used to have different songs.. Can't remember much of the episodes, but I enjoyed the characters-- Mr. Frumble, Huckle, Lowly, and the sheriff (who was a dog..)
