It's a tie between Tomb Raider 1 and Resident Evil: The Director's Cut.

I guess when you get tired of losing to E. Honda, you like getting your ass beat down by Heihachi?

The only ones I remember playing when they were new were Soul Calibur and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.

I don't have one favorite but Crash 3, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2, Mega Man X4 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 were the games I spent the most time with. I also had fun with Crash Team Racing and Einhander among others.

Mine would have to be Final Fantasy 7-9 and Resident Evil 2. I can't just choose 1 game. Their were so many to list!

Ah, the PS1. More like the SNES or the Nintendo 64?

Should I answer the question in 1996 or 2006?

Come on, you can't just have one favorite game for a system like the PS1. For me it was Mega Man X4, Crash 3, Crash Team Racing, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo.

Well, there's more than hundreds of PS1 titles. It's pretty hard to pick one as a favorite.

I only had a few PS1 games because I never owned the system and only played PS1 games on my PS2, but I liked Grand Theft Auto 2.

Mega Man 8. Mega Man gets infected by evil energy and his voice went all shrill and shriek-like...terrified me as a child! BUT I LOVED TENGU MAN'S STAGE!

Since I've always been a big fan of bowling, I would say ONE of my favorite PS1 games would be Ten Pin Alley. One thing I liked about both the PS1 and PS2 was that a lot of old school arcade classics compilations were released, such as Namco Museum (Pac-Man series, Galaga, etc.), Taito Legends (Space Invaders series, etc.), Capcom Classics Collections, Midway Arcade Treasures, Sega Classics, Sega Genesis Collection and Atari Anthology.

Twisted Metal was great. I also like the first Harry Potter game. Graphics aren't that good, especially when compared to the gamecube versions, but it's a lot of fun.
Don't pay any attention to the evil spirited and dead of heart. They're not worth your time.

Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, WWF Smackdown 2: Know Your Role, Tekken 2 and 3, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3, Final Fantasy Origins, Thunder Force V: Perfect System, Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, and 3, Alien Trilogy, Wipeout 3, Spyro The Dragon 1, 2, and 3, Gran Turismo, and too many more to name but that's the bulk of what I owned and enjoyed.

Thrill Kill. Even though it was never released, I did get my hands on a full uncensored copy back in '99.

Resident Evil 3. I know I am in the minority here but I feel RE 3 does not get enough attention that it deserves. With better controls, an emphasis on exploration, seeing how creepy Raccoon City really is, and of course the Nemesis. Its one of my most replayed games ever.

Honorable mention for Final Fantasy VII as it was the reason I got a Playstation in the first place.
