Did anyone catch the 499th episode of the Simpsons? There was a part were Mil House and Bart are imitating the show Myth Busters and are busting myths around the school, the vending machine happens to be one of them. If you hit a a certain number your suppose to die so noone pushes the number. They hit the number and Candy Cigarettes come out. Does anyone remember these LOL? I totally forgot aall about this gum I recall it being everywhere to, in every gas station and grocery store. I also remember ALOT OF TIMES receiving them at birthday parties in candy bags and none of the parents thought anything of it LOL. Also of course I recall standing around with my buds thinking "yea were so cool puff puff HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I loved candy cigarettes as a kid! I remember first getting them when I was with my mom watching my brother play football. Candy cigarettes were often one of the candy items sold at the concession table during football games at the local junior high school back in the late 1960's/early 1970's. I often tried to get the ones that imitated the brand my mom smoked...which were KOOL.
Candy cigarettes are more scarce today because many believe they sent the wrong message to kids. Although I loved candy cigarettes when I was a kid, I've never smoked a real cigarette in my life! Smoking is what eventually killed my mom...she died from lung cancer in 1984, when I was 19.

I love these so much I mentioned them in my article, The Bubblegum Wars.

I remember the cigars too. I got them whenever a baby was born, thus they were always blue or pink. Much bigger than the cigarettes but you couldn't blow smoke with them.

Of course I remember candy cigarettes but the brand that I had back in the early 60's had a chalky texture which I didn't like.

My favorite was kiddie cigars. They were cigar shaped candy that came wrapped with a cool looking cigar band included.
