If you could have any TV series from the 80's/90's in full-season deluxe boxed set DVD what would you choose for animated/live action shows?

80's Animated: The Mysterious Cities Of Gold- Everyone seems to forgotten about it.

80's Live Action: Small Wonder- I remember it used to be in syndication for what seemed like forever!

90's Animated: X-Men- The Fox version not Evolution or the Marvel Sunbow pilot.

90's Live Action: The Adventures Of Brisco County Jr. -I heard a rumor from TVshowsonDVD it was going to happen but I don't know now.

Anyone else? Hopefully someone who owns the rights to these shows is listning and will make them happen someday.

BraveStarr
Go-Bots
My Pet Monster
Rocko's Modern Life
David The Gnome
James Bond Jr.

Live Action:

Mama's Family
Salute Your Shorts
Roundhouse
Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad
Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?
The Adventures Of Pete And Pete

Movies:

Jetsons The Movie
The Phantom Tollbooth
Moving (w/ Richard Pryor)
My Pet Monster (the live-action movie)
Double Dragon

Good choices, IMissThe80's.

I read on TVshowsOnDVD somewhere that BCI/Entertainment Rights is definitely going to release "The Legend Of Bravestarr" on DVD!

They are also going to produce Filmation's Ghostbusters (although they only have the rights to the live-action show at the moment).

As for movies, I'd have to say:

80's Live Action: The Wizard -It'll never happen though, unfortunately.

80's Animated: The Chipmunk Adventure- I hear there's some sort of legal trouble with this.

"I would love to see the second half the g.i. joe cartoon finally released."

I second that motion! and what about the vastly inferior but in an odd way sort of nostalgic DIC version of the show as well.

yeah, the g.i. joe season 2 part 2 should have been released by this point, but the company that produced it (rhino video) sold the rights to sony, who has yet to release it. for more information: http://www.joeheadquarters.com/

also, i agree that the dic episodes were far inferior, but they do still hold that bit of nostalgia for me that i can't let go of

All I really remember about the DIC show was how it had more of a comedic bent than the Marvel-Sunbow episodes and the voices/personalities were totally different as well.

There was also a really odd scene of Cobra Commander turning Serpentor into an igauna Do you remember that episode at all?

I also wrote Sony several times regarding the Joe releases but their pretty notorious for having crappy customer service, hopefully BCI/Entertainment rights will pick up the rights to finish off the rest of the series on DVD.

I've already gotten a lot of my nostalgia DVDs. (Yay Christmas!) But I'm really annoyed that they haven't put the Rainbow Brite episodes on DVD yet. I can't even find VHS copies. I have the movie, but I want to see all the episodes I love!!

Yeah, I heard about the DVD release of The Real Ghostbusters too, IMissThe80's.

Unfortunately, I think its one of those scattershot episode release and we'll have to wait a little longer until its in boxed season format .

But that's one of my favorites so I'll probably cave in and get in if only because of the low price and to finally have on DVD.

At least its better than the two Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters episodes included on The Ghostbusters DVD re-release. Now that was a kick in the Gonads!
