This is the 1st ever ad plugging Milton Bradley's then-new Twister game, introduced in 1966 and in living grayscale!

For those interested in the music, it is a Jimmy Hart version of Chubby Checker's 1962 hit "Limbo Rock."

I had no idea it's been around that long. I thought it was a Milton Bradley game invented in the early 90s.

And here is another Twister ad... from sometime in the early to mid 1980s. This is set to some Chicago-style blues motif.

I might be in the minority, but I can't stand those swingy 60s commercials.

As for Twister I remember playing it at my grandmothers in the 80s and yes I remember that 80s commerical Ben posted.

The 90's?! Wow... you GOT to be young, dude... I mean seriously young. Even 'The Wonder Years' featured Twister during their 3rd season, which took place during I think in 1969 or 1970.

There are a lot of old games that you'd be surprised have survived the 'test of time' like Battleship, Monopoly, Chutes & Ladders, Life... etc. Some have evolved... others not so much.

Oh yeah, that's the Twister commercial I remember from the 60's.

But that ad reminds me of another commercial that still isn't on youtube, the Wrigley Zoo promotion for Wrigley's Spearmint gum from 1966. While the TV ad was cool, it didn't hold a candle to the awesome in-store displays and coloring books.

I always saw that commercial and I still get that tune stuck in my mind randomly these days. Plus, I though Twister was invented in the early 1980s. Looks like it goes waaay back in the 1960s.

I know. I was surprised that it dated back to that decade too.
