Holy shit that's a creepy picture of Pluto. Those eyes...

Now that I think of it, I do vaguely recall being disturbed by a similar image of Donald Duck.

And is it just me, or does anyone else get shivers when sometimes watching old cartoons from the 1930s or early 40s? Late 40s and 50s shorts (particularly Warner Brothers) are great, but some of those older ones sometimes give me the willies.

I know that, I also found another pic from one of the DVD volumes of "The Complete Pluto", it has another variation of a headshot as shown at the very beginning of a cartoon. That might be a little scarier than the first one if you've seen the Disney cartoons featuring my favorite character. This is a lot similar to the one from "Star Trek" at the final end credits where they showed an alien's head shown. This is a lot more creepier than ever. Brace yourself

Speaking of Star Trek, for its last season (1968-1969) the Paramount TV logo that ends the whole show is also scary to look at (because of the bar zooming from it on a yellow background to its mountain half). That logo got edgier still the next season (1969-1970) when it got new music (it was especially scary in its first few months) that we came to call "Closet Killer." Then another season comes along (1970-1971) and another new piece of music for the logo takes its place, this time composed by Lalo Schifrin. Its official name was "Color ID", and it had seen use in the subsequent "Blue Mountain" logo as well (the 1979 version of the music is very chilling to hear).

This topic is getting old. I was into the 'Closing Logo' stuff during the early 00s and was obsessed with the DiC Animation City logo because I grew up with it, but I've kind of grown out of the "closing logos being scary" thing.
Also, half of the old 80s ones people think are CGI are actually animated cel assisted and backlit.

The PBS 1984-1989 "And on" logo scares me! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! The music and duplicating animation (starting from the first "And on") scares me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the original PBS 1984-1989 logo better!

On the Lambchop video I saw it on, it had the following humorous but creepy dialouge:

    Lambchop: Oh, look it's a P! Para...
    What P?

    Sharri: Paragon.
    Oh! It's Paragon!

    Lambchop: All gone, bye bye!
    -white screen appears-

    That was funny and cute!

I like that logo! The person who says "Sit, Ubu, sit. Good dog!" made me laugh. I almost wet my pants when I saw the Ubu logo!

After the logos, the teacher was busy and forgot to stop the movie, and of course some of you know that if you leave an old movie on when it's over, instead of stoping and rewinding, it shows a black or white screen (commonly a white screen on fox and paramount videos) and a high pitched sound that you usually hear on test patterns. Has anyone else seen this before?

I saw that on my Pokemon The First Movie video and I also saw it on my disney videos!

I don't know why, but whenever a show would be on tv, and they would play that sound clip "Veiwer Discrestion Is Advised" that would scare the crap out of me. That was a creepy voice.

Anyone fortunate enoughto have HBO in the early to mid 80's (I was one) remembers the intro to HBO movies. And it scared me. The HBO logo coming towards you. I was about 4 or so when I really started
to notice it. I remember an incident, the four of us watching TV,
and the HBO logo started coming towards me. I was so scared, I hid
behind the couch. For some reason, I thought that the logo would
float out from the TV screen, come into my room and hurt me or
    something.

That's hilarious! Can you give me a link to the HBO movies intro so I can see it?

"One time, I pretended I was a cowboy. Bam bam bam! Jenny, wake up, wake up, we were just playing... and she didn't wake up." This was followed by a guys voice saying "Please, lock your guns". So obviously, Jenny was the girl's sister and she accidentaly shot and killed her. I know this wasn't a dream because I heard it on the radio all the time during the night. It scared me and also made me sad.

That's a cute PSA! I'm sorry for the girl in that PSA's loss!
