After seeing a leaked pic of him that circulated on the Web about a month or so ago,I knew it was a matter of time.

    YES!!!!

About fucking time that fucking thief died. Fuck him. And fuck Apple. And fuck anyone who says I shouldn't celebrate a death.

Um, I thought it was the other way around as in his competitor Bill Gates was the theif that stole the blue prints for the Mac Operating System and pirated it to create Windows, unless i missed something about mister Jobs. Did I?

Jobs stole a liver for himself. He's a damn thief.

Appearly he paid a lot of money to get himself ahead on the list of people in need of liver transplants.

That does seem wrong to me...but honestly...if one of us had that kind of money and were told we were going to die, how many of us won't try to bargain our way out of it? Again, not saying that makes it right, just saying, it's something a lot of us would probably do.

    Money=Power, plain and simple.

How is he different from any other rich person with an illness? Even though organs and such are supposed to be on a waiting list, you'll NEVER see a celebrity or anyone else of fabulous wealth die because they just had to *wait*. Money talks, no matter what. And as someone else on this thread said,...if you were dying and you were filthy rich, wouldn't you pay whatever it took to get your life back?

Not sure what his cancer was from, but if he was an alcoholic and ruined his liver through careless drinking, then YES I'd be definitely against it.

Agreed, his final photos said it all.

I know nothing about Steve Jobs except what I hear on news reports.
He was simply the head of a corporation to me.

Heavy news, indeed. Let us remember Jobs the way he would have wanted. . .as a paranoid bi-polar manipulator that wasn't above doing home invasions and holding employees hostage to make a point.

I don't know if Apple will be able to keep the company surviving without him. Their stock will probably go down somewhat because of his death. I think they'll do fine, but I could be wrong. The iPhone 4S and his death could be the start. The only thing I think they are superior at right now is Tablets. They pretty much won the MP3 player game when the iPod touch came out, and the market is becoming lesser and lesser because people can use smartphones now for music. The iPad is winning right now because they were the first with the new era tablets out. The Playbook and Tab 10.1 are good, but both OS's dont have near the app selection that the iPad does. Apple's winning that market, but I don't know for how much longer.

Using your financial clout to hop to the front of the line to score yourself a liver? CHECK.

Employing virtual slave labor in overseas manufacturing plants? CHECK.

Stalking underlings and trying to break into employee homes in order to get them to change their minds about product proposals? CHECK.

Yeah, I'd say that Jobs passed the "Great Man" test with flying colors.

So being an evil dictator of a boss is ok, admitting to stealing ideas to get yourself rich is ok and using your wealth to steal a liver from another sick person is ok, all as long as you don't drink?

What I don't get is why anyone ever buys Apple products. Jobs centered his products around planned obsolesence and made many of them unserviceable to guarantee peripheral income from the Apple stores. As far as I am concerned, buying an Apple product is like freely admitting you have no idea what you're buying and care only about fitting in.

Apple and PC's both have their up's and downs, but you're really limited on what you can do if something goes wrong on a Mac with the software. With windows you can do things like run command lines and edit the registry. With Macs all you can really do is reinstall. Windows 7 is quite stable and it's a myth that Macs never crash. Macs cost more up front and there are less programs to run on them. For computers I'll keep my PC's.
