I'd have to say that the soundtrack from both cowboy bebop the tv series and the movie aka knockin on heavens door, rocked and soothed my eardrums into a state of pure bliss as did the soundtrack from samurai champloo. So, if any anime soundtracks made your eardrums melt from out of your earholes, lemme know.

There's a lot of anime soundtracks that I enjoyed. If I had to choose just one it'd be "Tom Sawyer no Bouken"

Yeah... all those Shinichiro Watanabe shows, but that's expected when their premise is based around a genre of music. Studio Ghibli compositions are usually quite good, but they're rarely memorable. I always enjoyed Outlaw Star and Escaflowne, though.

Cowboy Bebop definitely got me into listening to Anime OST's. But I might go with Welcome to the NHK. Technically, there's a few collections you'd have to acquire to piece together the highlights from the series.

End of Evangelion is up there too.

Probably Cowboy Bebop for me. Yoko Kanno is an interesting composer and I enjoy how with the soundtracks she does do, she seem to pull from different genres for her inspiration.

Yeah, yoko kanno is a true master...the seatbelts pull off some insanely good music too. Damn, the bebop REALLY got me into anime music.

You can get a lot of out-of-print CD's at Book Off. I have Minky Momo Love Stage. I bought mostly game soundtracks. Graduation Vacation tends to be the best one. I've been desiring it since 2000. Go to Hitoshi Doi's page at usagi.org/doi for more CD information.
