Does anyone remember the old PBS series Newton's Apple which aired from 1983 to 1998?

For a span of about 10 years, the show's theme song was the 1970 Kraftwerk song "Ruckzuck." Around the time original host Ira Flatow left in 1988, the theme song had to be remixed for this purpose due to licensing restrictions concerning the original. In the show's final four or so seasons "Ruckzuck" went away altogether in favor of something more original.

Yes I do. At school around early 80's our Science/Math teacher put it on. It was cool.

I must tell you all that the producers of Newton's Apple apparently used the original theme song mentioned without any permission at all, and thus out of respect to the group, they replaced it in 1989 with a remixed version.

I recall watching this in the early 90s. It was fun to watch the experiments they did...At least I think they did experiments. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I last watched it. When it came to shows on PBS, besides the kids' programs, I also recall watching several Bob Vila programs when I was young. I think that's because my Dad did a lot of craftsmanship in his spare time.

I remember watching that program on PBS. It was cool and informative. BTW, do you think you could upload the Newton's Apple intro from the latter four seasons before it ended? It's the one that sounds more orchestrated as opposed to the Kraftwerk song that has been used and I think that the latter theme sounds better.

Are you sure 1970 is the right year for the thme? It sounded more modern than that.
