For some reason i've always hated new years eve. To me the first of January of the new year is just another day. It doesn't mean anything will improve or get worse just by the date. It's all a matter of either good luck/bad luck or how you go about trying to make the year better or worse for yourself. I guess i'm a bitter old hag LOL i'm just not into watching the ball drop and dancing around and singing songs because it's a new year and "I'm going to lose weight! I'm going to get a better job! i'm going to be nicer!" somehow it all looks different when you wake up the next day Normally by February reality hits and things go back to normal.

That being said, I DO think we will lose Michael Douglas (not exactly rocket science on that one), Betty White and a slew of others this year. I wonder if it will be the year we lose Mickey Rooney?

Hahaha and I wonder how many people continued to hit the gym to lose weight and/or get healthier?

2011 just means a new year being alone and miserable. making bad decisions is my superpower.

Oh I hear you there. Alone? Check. Miserable? Check. Going to do something stupid? Double check.

    Kim-Jong Il
    Barbra Bush
    Morgan Freeman
    Sean Connery
    George Martin
    Mel Brooks

2010 set up big things for me. I expect 2011 to be the next big step in life. Not because it's 2011, just because things will be happening then.

I hope George Bush Jr. would 'go away' already. I hate him. Then again, he's good for entertainment in his own ways.

Basically...GWB did go away and honestly...if it wasn't for him...the 2000's would be a TOTAL dud without his Bushisms. (He really should be in a Sitcom)!

But don't hate him...hate his administration...they're the ones who REALLY fucked it up.

And this isn't the Political Page, so even though Bush, Clinton, Bush II, and Obama sucks as leaders...I think there's a page for that!

Yeah, but Todd Rundgren said in the song "Love is the Answer"...'Who knows why...someday we all must die'.

And also remember the spoken words to Pink Floyd's "Great Gig in the Sky"....

"And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
Don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime."
"I never said I was frightened of dying."

Good things about 2010: started college again in the fall, first time getting drunk, went to awesome parties, lost my virginity, made good friends, lived with a decent roommate, kept my new years resolution, got into fishkeeping, got good grades,

bad things about 2010: had to stay home a semester last spring, started smoking cigs, roommate moved out so now i might get a bad one, thanksgiving sucked, my fave goldfish died , and couldnt find a job til school started

so um...i guess this year was ok

    Good things about 2010:

    1) I got Promoted with a nice pay increase
    2) I got the parts I wanted for my motorcycle
    3) Got to go to a few biker rallies
    4) Finally had sex with the girl I'd been wanting to shag for the past three years

    Bad things about 2010:

    1) I had to walk to work from (literally) January first to March cause the engine blew on my car
    2) I am once again having to walk to work cause the engine blew on the car I bought to replace the old car.
    3) My teeth still aren't fixed
    4) I'm still living paycheck to paycheck
    5) I owe my brother over a grand

So I guess 2010 wasn't all that bad for me. I had a lot more fun than I did in 2009. Hopefully I can have more fun in 2011, not to mention another roll in the hey with Tahrea (see good things #4 )

2011 will be a pretty good year for me...I'll be moving into my new house. 2010 was just okay, personally.
