It was written by R.L. Stine. He also had another book series called "Ghosts Of Fear Street" which was aimed at elementary school kids, while "Fear Street" was aimed at high school kids. If you've read a few of the "Fear Street" books like I have, you would know why they're not for younger kids. People die in those books, and it's quite gruesome how they die. plus they have issues in them that younger kids won't understand. I've read "Cheerleaders: The First Evil," and "Blind Date." Those two were really good! What are some "Fear Street" books you've read?

I read one about some haunted car that was an obvious rip-off of Christine. Then, I read a Ghosts of Fear Street book about evil sea monkeys, and realized the series might not be for me.
There's a signature here, you just haven't beaten enough enemies to unlock it.

I totally LOVED the fear street books. I actually recently took out the few that our local library has and read them all. Now i'm wanting to get more of them used online. We unfortunatly don't have a used book store around here. I'm also not sure if they still print them or not, like if they are still available at a normal bookstore or not. I remember The Babysitter series was one of my favorites.

What were the names of the books you did check out and read? They're not still in print, and you can't get them at a regular book store. Be cool if you could though. A good website to buy them is Amazon. I've found most of the ones I'm looking for on there. The funny thing is, I haven't gotten around to buying them yet, lol. Maybe I will after Christmas You can get the books on Amazon for like $4.01 tops.

Ha! My elementary school's library had a lot of 'The Babysitters Club' books! I remember reading the books and I pretty much liked the series also.

OMG, these were like the only books I read for fun as a kid. I hated Goosebumps, but FS series was good. I actually owned the Cheerleader ones, so I probably liked those best. I always felt I should read the original series (the legend ones), so if I find time, I'll get them at the library.

I realized later in life that I love reading, just not novels. I got bored with the Babysitters Club- I preferred the videos.

I am pretty sure I read most of these years ago but just don't remember it. Ones I took out were:

    Babysitter II
    Babysitter III
First Evil (I think this was house 99 fear street evil? something like that)
    Cat
Halloween Party II ( I think that is what it was called)
    Beach House
    The Boyfriend
    The Girlfriend
    Dead End
and one of the cheerleaders books.

Loved loved LOVED the Fear Street series as a kid. I never read Goosebumps...always Fear Street. I know I read many of them and owned a lot. No idea what happened to the ones I did own. I just loved the writing style and all the "scary" stuff. I should go back to it for old times sake. lol
