Sad to just find out that comedian Greg Giraldo has passed away. He was 44.

This is a bummer, I was actually a fan of his, even have his DVD: MidLife Vices in my collection. And he was usually my favorite in the roasts.

What sucks is that it was from an accidental overdose. There needs to be new provisions for prescription medications. They're prescribed for a reason. They're dangerous. And now one of the most underrated and talented comedians is dead. He was one of my favorites.

He wasn't funny in the least, but this sucks. It seems that people are dying younger and younger nowadays.

That's a shame. He was great on the recent Comedy Central roast specials.

    This was my top 5.

    David Cross
    Patton Oswalt
    Louis C.K.
    Dave Attell
    Greg Giraldo

Why couldn't it have been Larry The Cable Guy or that fucker with the puppets??!

I know. I really liked him. He was the best judge on Last Comic Standing.

Great top 5 list of current comedians there, I like all of the people you listed and also Maria Bamford, Brian Posehn and Doug Stanhope.

I totally agree that Larry the Cableguy and Jeff Dung-ham should have died instead. There's also a loser standup comic out now not worth naming who's been ripping off bits from Lous C.K., Patton Oswalt and Maria Bamford. You can read about it on Patton's official site.

Yeah I really liked Greg Giraldo, he was a VERY underratted comic.

In tribute to him I wacthed my "Midlife Vices" DVD last night. Man it's a shame.

I used to see him on tv years ago stinking up the Just for Laughs festival on CBC. I can't believe anyone let him make such a massive underserved comeback.

I agree. He was one of my favorites, and he and Jeff Ross made the roasts worth watching. Man, this fucking sucks. My condolences to his family, especially his three young children. Sleep well, brother.

He was a pretty good comic. It's too bad he died as young as he did but on the bright side he got to travel around the world and see some things most of us will never see and best of all he made people laugh. i'll miss him from the next comedy central roast.

    duuuuuuuuuuude

the fucker with the puppets used to come to my middle school and if we sold two magazine subscriptions we'd get to watch his show

how the fuck did he get his own show?!?!

You really can't judge Jeff Dunham by his tv show. It was horrible. I was really hoping that it wouldn't be, as I'm a huge fan of his, but the show was just....bad. Stick to his standup specials. Especially his Christmas special and Spark Of Insanity.

    Who gives a crap?

Why are we talking about Jeff Dunham now, anyway? this thread was started in tribute to the late great Greg Giraldo.

And yes Greg Giraldo was funniner than Jeff Dunham in my opinion.
