I never played it, because I know not to play with the Supernatural. But some of my old friends have. One time at a pool party, one of them told me that she and her friends played it when they had a sleepover at her house. She got so freaked out she ran into her mom's bed. Usually people play this game when someone's having a sleepover. Have you ever played it? And if so, please tell me what it was like and what happened.

Wow.... yeah I do remember when I was much, much younger, we were having a sleepover at a friend's house and we did the whole "Bloody Mary" thing where you close your eyes, spin around in front of a mirror while saying "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary" and then open your eyes. While I never saw her in the mirror, it kind of reminds me of this movie I watched recently called "Pizza". There was a scene where the girl snorts what was supposed to be cocaine at a friends party, and starts acting all high, and then they tell her it was baking soda or something. I guess if your mind plays enough of a trick on you, you can see anything that isn't really there...

My cousins and I did when we were kids, but not sure if we were actually playing it right. We were told that you're supposed to close yourself in a room with a mirror (in the dark), hold hands, and chant the name "Bloody Mary" three times or something, and she's supposed to appear in the mirror.

    Never did happen. =P

I found this one website (can't remember what it's called) had info on the various ways you play the game. It said you go into a bathroom by yoursself, close the door, light a candle in front of you, close your eyes, and concentrate. Then you chant "Bloody Mary" three times. About the spinning around thing, the website said you can play it that way, but that's only if you're really persistent. You spin spin around five or one hundred times chanting "Bloody Mary." My friend said you play it by flushing the toilet three time, and she comes after you with either an ax, or a butcher knife. The wesite said she has red eyes and long red fingernails. And she either gorges your eyes out, slashes you to death or pulls you into the mirror. This one guy at my old job told me he and his friends played it and at first nothing happened, so they all went back to bed. Then they all had to get up at like two in the morning to use the bathroom, and hey heard pawing noises coming from inside the door, and they looked inside to find scratch marks on the door.

There are similar games of courage all thru the world. In Mexico there is a similar one involving "La Llorona" (THe Weeping Woman) in which you have to stand alone at midnight in the middle of a dark street an summon her name aloud. You can guess what happens then...

In feudal Japan the samurai used to play a game during the Summer (the traditional season in which ghost appear in Japan) called "The Hundred Candle Game". Every participant had to tell a ghost story and everytime an story ended a candle was put out. Only the bravest were still around when the last candle was put out because a ghost was supposed to appear then. And in Japan -according to tradition- the yurei can physically touch you...and harm you.

You're supposed to say it 5 times. I've done it. Nothing ever happens. Its just the power of suggestion.

Oh man, that game. Yeah, I ruled this game as a kid. I played this game countless times in my youth and nothing ever happened. The very last time I played was when I was in 8th grade at my friend's 14th birthday party. The only problem we had was how to fit that many girls in that bathroom, haha.

It was never a game but more of a rumour at my middle school you were meant to say bloody mary 3 times infront of the mirror in the girls toilets and then she would appear. Which of course she didn't it's not real!

When I was in elementary school in the 4th grade (im in 6th now), the boys were always trying to scare the girls with Bloody Mary! As usual, they FORCED me to go in. I got payed 10 bucks to do it, how lame, right? Well, other girls were to scared so I went in anyway. I shut the lights off and the boys stood on the outside of the girls' bathroom. I repeated her name at least 3 times and guess what! Nothing happened. How lame! And then they told me.. "Eh, the girls' bathroom isnt haunted. Its the guys that girl wants to see!" And, eventually, they TRIED to convince me to go in. But I didnt. A year later, I REALIZED THAT SHE WAS A COMPLETE MYTHH!! Haha, lol.

I remember this game as a kid, was always too scared to try it, now I know it isn't real, the reason I know this is because the number of times you're supposed to say her name changes depending on who's telling you, some say 3 times, some say 5 times, as a kid I was told 30 times, some even say 100 times, there was also the version where you said "Candyman" how ever times you were told to say it. It always had to be in a bathroom. Of course, that is fake as well, it's only a movie
