Who here remembers "Rescue 911"? It aired in the early 1990s and was a real-life medical emergency show hosted by THE SHAT! [William Shatner].
I was fascinated by this show when I was a kid. If you wanted my eyes to be glued to the screen, air "Unsolved Mysteries", then "Rescue 911" right after. The stories that were in Rescue 911 were truly scary and cringe-inducing, including everything from household accidents to snakebites.
The episode that really sticks out in my memory is called "Baby Bathtub Burn", which told the story of this little girl trying to bathe her baby brother, but mistakenly filling the tub with boiling lava-hot water. It nearly traumatized me!
So, what are your memories of this 90's TV show?

I do I remember the first one that my sisters and I ever saw on TV was the one the little boy choked while eating corn. That one sacred my younger sister so bad that for awhile she wouldn't even eat corn. I don't remember many other episodes though I do remember one where a toddler swallows the top off of a Christmas bulbI think he choked on it if I'm right or got it stuck in his throat.

I love that show and its funny you mention that episode because every time I get in the shower and its too hot I see that kid in the tub.
I always rerember the guy playing football at a BBQ and gos to get the ball in a retention pond and walks into a hornets nest.

I haven't seen the episodes you guys mentioned [or maybe I did and forgot, because it was so long ago]. I gotta check them out on YouTube!

Damn, I haven't heard about that show in years. I used to love watching it, along with Unsolved Mysteries.

I watched that show a lot when I was a kid too. The episodes I most remember are the one where the kid rode a big wheel into a pool and another one where a kid climbed onto a train and wound up in a giant pile of animal feed in one of the cars.

At the time I had never watched the first seasons of Star Trek so I had no idea that's what William Shatner was famous for before Rescue 911.

I remember the one where this girl got her tongue stuck in the freezer, and the cop came to the house and looked in the window. He saw the freezer door open with her head in there and thought she was playing! LOL

Ha, yeah I use to watch this with the fam all the time. I remember an episode where a little girl was running through the house and ran right into a closed glass sliding door, and broke it. Good show, it's too bad they never show reruns, I'd like to see it again.

It would be cool to see that show again. I sometimes used to watch it with my folks. My dad and I liked it more than my mom though.

They made a pinball game out of it, surprisingly enough.

Wow, I totally remember that episode! That was scary. It forever made me extra extra sure that my sliding patio door was OPEN before I ran out. I kept getting that image of that poor little girl in my head.

Wow, that's actually pretty cool. I've always wanted just a basement FILLED with arcade games! I've also seen a very cool Twilight Zone pinball machine, which would probably cost a fortune to buy.

I also remember this one when these two boys were playing in the living room under a Christmas tree (it was during the yuletide season) and a light on the tree burnt out, setting the whole house on fire. I also remember the one with the kid stuck on that escalator.

Its a good show and I do wish it was shown on TV again. As a kid I didn't know that the emergencies were dramatically reenacted.

Yeah, I think the realism of the reenactments was what made the show so effective. It really helped inform people about very real medical emergencies that could happen right in the home, and at the same time, scared the heck out of kids like me to be extra careful!

What about the episode where some guy named Clive gets electrocuted by a fence, which in that same story features some other guy using a Weed Eater gas trimmer?

I've never seen that episode. Sounds grisly!
