I had my first job when i was 17 working for my village. We basically did landscaping and stuff like planting and cleaning up parks. it was ok i guess. the supervisors really didn't care what we did lol. it was basically all teens and college students. there really wasn't an interview..you just had to apply soon and you got it! lol it was just a summer job..minimum wage pay..but it was an ok job.

I worked at a place called "The Burger Shack". It was a terrible place to work, the boss was absolutely insane.

Strawberry picking. I worked with a bunch of kids of random ages who'd help a local farmer who ran a produce stand out in town. We'd go to his farm and pick strawberries and put them in cartons. It seemed like brainless work but it was actually really hard on the back and butt LOL I think after two weeks I could barely move at one point with all that bending and kneeling and stuff. And we got in trouble once or twice because the berries we had picked weren't big enough or red enough to sell. It was piece work so it really, really sucked. I hardly made any money at all. After three weeks of that I moved onto a job bagging at the small local grocery store. Not that that was incredibly more appealing but at least it was at least minimum wage.

My first was at a catering company called Picnic People. Summer + Outdoors + People = Hell. The first couple of times I worked I would always get reprimanded for not smiling, talking in monotone, or breaking some other "Ned Flanders Virtue Of Pleasantness." Seeing as I'm still living with my folks, I'm determined to hold out until I can get a job doing something like overnight stocking where I don't have to deal with customers or be awake during the day.

paperboy at 12 or my first real job, I was 16 and was a runner/go for/ ah hell general laborer at a wholesale car auction... where car dealers buy lease returns and sell their overstock, it paid well and would have turned into an awesome full time job, but Ford bought it out and moved it all to Toronto area, since the whole operation was built over a swamp and the geological report showed it would rapidly begin sinking in next 10 years. It was a great job, and the bonus was we also did 5 government surplus auctions and 2 military surplus sales a year, they were always fun and you could find really fucked up shit at them.

A paperboy when I was 13. I really liked it since I was pretty much a night owl already so It was a lot of fun to do during summer vacation. Most of my money went to crap like video games.
