Geez I miss the old Cartoon Network. Where they didnt have Fridays or Adult Swim and when Toonami used to be on during the weekdays 4pm to 7pm and 12am to 1am.

Not that I dont like the new CN but I miss the old shows they had on during the day. Like Speed Racer, Super Friends (70's/80's version), and the Chipmunks to name afew.

I also remember when Toonami used to play Uncut Gundam Wing at midnight during the summer and when they'd totally over play Dragonball Z's Saiyan and Frieza Sagas.

    man....brings back memories.

I miss it with a passion but we get lots of old crap here, like Cow & Chicken. I always catch that show. It's called Mucca e whatever.

Yea what's the stupid thing on now instead of Toonami?? I tried so hard to give it a shot, but, eventually I gave up. Dammit I miss Sailor Moon. And I miss how on every Friday they'd show a movie Particularly an anime movie [Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Endless Waltz,...].

I could do without flipping onto Cartoon Network and finding Kids Next Door. It's also beyond me that Totally Spies found its way from FOX or ABC Family whatever they call themselves. And don't get me started that now they begin showing Live-Action crap...

Well I was more of a Nickeloden/Disney guy growing up. The only time I really remember watching Cartoon Network was when you'd see like old, old school shows, such as the Pink Panther, Tom and Jerry, and the like..

I was more into Nick and Disney as a kid too, but I watch CN too. Yes, I miss the old CN (94-00). After that, it started going downhill.

I miss the Hannah-Barbara thing. Adult Swim isn't so bad. Cow and Chicken was one of the most dumbest shows I ever saw in my life.

Edit: But, I purchased Boomergang so I guess I can't complain.

I miss Sailor Moon, too! When it was showed on USA at 8:30 in the mornings, that's what got me into anime, and I was thrilled when Cartoon Network added it to the Toonami lineup with new episodes. (I'm probably the biggest Sailor Moon dork ever, heheh.)

Very true, Its like CN started adding stupid things to their lineups and taking off good shows.

The dumbness on Cow & Chicken is what made it funny

    Boomerang is cool though

I miss old Cartoon Network even though I didn't have it when it first came out. But I read all the Cartoons it was showing. Pretty much all good ones.
I don't really care the CN now they don't play any good cartoons anymore. Now their all on Boomerang which of course I don't have.
It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

I would have to say that the years 2000 to 2002 were the best years to be watching Cartoon Network!

Like many others I do find it annoying that CN is now mostly filled with the repitition of a few shows (far from my favorites too). But I also hated it back in the day when it was the flintstones and jetsons for hours on end. Why can't they strike a balance. Even Boomerang is getting that way. What happened to variety?

I don't enjoy that many of Cartoon Network's modern shows...

But I do love Adult Swim.
From repeats of Futurama & Family Guy, to Harvey Birdman, ATHF, Moral Oral, Robot Chicken, among others.

...however, I do miss some of the Hanna Barbarra 'toons that used to come on late at nite like Mugilla Gorilla & others. I miss Flintstones & Jetsons, along with Tom & Jerry and especially Loony Tunes.

I MAY catch Tom & Jerry from 1-2p during the week, but what about the rest? Do I have to get the Boomerang Network? Unfortunately Adelphia cable doesn't cary it... and I don't know of too many other cable networks that do.

So as much as I like Cartoon Network NOW... I mainly like the Adult Swim part & its Johnny Bravo generation of 'toons (Ed Edd Eddy & others included)... they are pretty funny. The newer ones now are not that great and nothing I can really get into at all... so I like the CN of old in that form.

I really miss old CN...even classic eps of Cow and Chicken and Dexter's Lab. And shows like Looney Tunes and The Flinestones. All those classics. I feel bad for kids who aren't going to grow up with that stuff. And I miss the Sunday Matinee theater they had when they would show An American Tail and movies like that...though modern, I wish they'd bring XMEN: Evo back to Toonami.
