There were a ton of remakes and rerelease of stuff that we all grew up with during the 00s. so what was your favorite movies remakes or not.

GIJOE RESOLUTE. this was probably the greatest piece of gijoe related material to grace the market. i think everyone should go out and buy it with out hesitation.

    all of the LOTR

STAR TREK yeah the deviated a bit and made it more mainstream but i REALLY REALLY enjoyed this movie.

in retro spect the RING and the GRUDGE are kind of gay, but the first time seeing these movies in the theatres really creeped me the fuck out.

    what are ya'lls?

Definately the first Harry Potter movie, I went to go see it on my birthday. 9 years later, it still holds up pretty well. Probably because it's a little more cheery than the newer movies and books

You're confused. The GI Joe movie was horrible. Firstly, they weren't their own entity anymore. They worked for the UN. Secondly, since when did GI JOE have a black guy in it. Thirdly, Destro's metal mask was just ridiculous looking.

Star Trek was horrible. Nothing like what Star Trek is supposed to be. Aside from Spock, none of the characters looked the way they're supposed to. Uhura was way too sexy. She wasn't sexy in the show. Sulu didn't look right. And Winona Ryder as Spock's mom ? I don't think so. She REALLY didn't look like his mom.

He's not talking about the Rise of Cobra film. He's talking about the animated Resolute feature. Get your facts straight. And Resolute was one of the best things GI Joe related of the year.

And Star Trek was amazing. You just have no taste.

EDIT: Just saw the stupidity about the black guy. GI Joe ALWAYS had a black guy in it. Quite a few actually. Stalker, Roadblock, Heavy Duty, The guy who shot the baseballs whos name I can't think of, ect.

Well, the live action movie is the only one that I know of besides the cartoon one from the 80s. And I have no taste ? Star Trek was not amazing. It was just a bunch of flash. If your'e a really good movie, you don't need a bunch of flash and effects to entertain people. It's only crappy, worthless movies that use flash and effects to cover up the fact that they don't have anything else to offer...like acting. Get YOUR facts straight. You probably like Twilight.

Did you even watch the movie? Or did you just listen to a jaded fan review? I have not heard one thing that supports your arguments. And yes, movies are supposed to entertain people. Thats why people go to see movies. Its an escape from everyday life. But then again, you're probably of those people who thought Transformers 2 was the greatest thing ever.

No, I hate the Transformer movies. And yes, I've seen Star Trek. I refuse to watch that crap again. And don't you dare say I can't support my arguments. I agree movies are supposed to entertain people. Lots of crappy movies entertain people with flash, effects, and quick jump cuts. But GOOD movies don't NEED flash, effects, and quick jump cuts to enterain. They rely on good writing and good acting to do it. If you want me to support my arguments any more than I already have, then you have to give me something to correct you on...which you haven't done so far.

Star Trek relied heavily on story. Its not my fault you didn't understand it. There was a rift and divergence in the history of Star Trek when Spock traveled back in time. It created a new alternate timeline. Are you with me here? Because, I get the feeling I'm using too big of words for a simpleton such as yourself. This divergence is where they allowed for events to happen that didn't before. Such as the 'sexy' Uhura. And what's wrong with that? Are you saying Nichelle Nicols wasn't sexy? I get the feeling there's a bit of a racist in you. First saying there was no room for black guys in GI Joe, and now this.

Anyway, the movie was very intelligent. It showed the character growth of Kirk, Spock, Bones, ect. It also showed the early history of Kirk and Spock. I'm just going to figure that you can't stand quick flashing images and actual story. It confuses you. You can't grasp both at once. Thats really sad. You missed out on a great film.

So you thought "The Ring" and "The Grudge" were either homosexual or happy and joyful? That's strange because I thought they were horrible.

My List of the BEST :
    Amelie
    The Fountain
    Juno
    The Prestige
    Children of Men
    Finding Nemo
    V for Vendetta
    Elizabeth: The Golden Age
The Control Panel is telling me to Check PMs. My mind went to strange places.

Heavily on story ? Really ? I couldn't tell from all the effects and horrible makeup. I understand that there was a divergence. I completely understand that. No, Nichelle Nicols wasn't sexy. There isn't a racist bone in my body. She just wasn't sexy. She looked like the alien in Meatballs. And the black guy thing.... Were there are were there not black guys in G.I. JOE ? No, they're weren't. The only reason one was in the movie was to pacify the people that feel everything should be done the way they want. The movie was very intelligent ? There was NO character growth of Kirk, Spock, or Bones ? The only one that had even a modicum of character growth was Spock, and even then, it wasn't that much. It's true that I can't stand quick, flashing images. Like effects, they're used to cover up lack of plot or plot taken from much better done movies. And I can't stand story ? Where the hell do you get that from ? Just because I like good movies and don't like the crap that seems to entertain your uncomplicated, uninvolved, facile mind ? You're the one that likes to watch movies that rely on special effects to distract you from the fact that they don't have any real story in the movie. I prefer movies that have a story to them and deep characters and situations that make you think. But what am I saying talking about thinking ? It's not like that something you're familiar with.

Oops forgot to mention that Star Trek was amazing! I agree with that statement. And, really, how can it not be awesome when J.J directed it? He's a genius when it comes to Sci-Fi.

I'm done with you. You're a homophobe and a racist. One of the many things wrong with RetroJunk.

Homophobe ? Where do you get that from ? I've never mentioned gay people in this topic. What's on your mind, freak ? You misused the word homophobe and you say that I can't think ? Homophobe doesn't mean you hate gay people, it means you're afraid of gay people. Crack open a book once in a while, brainless.
