Last time I start a topic I swear .. ops:

DOes anyone remember when they stopped selling those cabbagepatch dolls that you could put like a Twizzler-looking thing in their mouth and they just ate it? They banned it cos they were sucking in kid's fingers and hair.

There was also when Burger King came out with the Pokemon toys when it was first big, and they had to ban the pokeballs because kids were choking on them. They had a commercial for it and everything telling parents to take them away from the children. I always wondered how a kid would choke on something that huge... *shrug*

Anything else that had to get banned for one reason or another?

It was some stupid teen mother's fault about the Pokéball thing. Who lets a baby play with one?

Yeah, the Pokemon ball recall was complete crap. Someone left their baby alone with a toy that said 3+, and somehow the company and toy get blamed.

There was a Venom action figure that was out in the 90's, I think, that had some questionable dialogue on his packaging. On the front, it said something along the lines of, "I want to eat your brains!"

It could have been the result of the Dahmer mess that caused the removal of the toy from the stores...but I'm really not sure on the timeline for the toy.

That actually sounds like a really kickass toy right there. I mean it's VENOM it's expected of him to say stuff like that! Or was it based on the cartoon?

Does anyone remember that Nerf football that had like a computer inside it but had to ban it because it would hurt kids because THERE'S A COMPUTER INSIDE A PLASTIC ORANGE FOOTBALL

I recently heard that a book had to be taken back (or if it was just one) it was a kid's book I think someone wrote it in but in the beginning it's supposed to say "Want to fly?!" but instead it said "Want to die?!". I forgot what the book was called

You can always upload it to photobucket or imageshack or something

or if you're experienced and have a decent internet connection, download Apache and host it yourself

then put up a link to the picture

Yeah, it's the Spiderman villain Venom. I looked the figure up on eBay, but no-one has it for auction right now.

The red one would say "Fag fag fag fag... bite my butt.... awww...." when you squeezed him.

I'm still upset that they banned lawn darts, just because a couple of stupid kids thought it would be a good idea to try and CATCH those heavy steel tipped darts raining out of the sky on them. Its like trying to ban guns because a kid tried to catch bullets in his teeth, the idiot should have known better!

Wow...I remember the whole cabbage patch ordeal. Because I had just gotten one of those eating cabbage patches for Christmas. That was totally the girl's fault. The doll obviously came with its own food and it is just stupid to feed your own hair through the doll's mouth.

I remember 2 other things that were banned. My mom told me about the Skipper that grew boobs, and the Barbie that said something like "Math is hard". The feminist groups were all over those dolls.

The Ken doll with a lavender fishnet shirt, a lavender vest, black pants, and an earring. It didn't sell well, but it became a cult hit with gay men.

The red one would say "Fag fag fag fag... bite my butt.... awww...." when you squeezed him.

I remember the incident with the Po doll. She's bilingual, so she was really saying "Faster, faster" in Cantonese.
