    I have, and DC rocked!

By the way, for a trip down memory lane for those that might've stayed up to see it, here was Disney Channel's sign-off back when they used to do so up to around '86 or '87.

I remember watching Disney before it was on cable. We got it on our old satellite dish in the days before scrambling technology; everything was free. Disney was great back then. It tapered off into what I thought were boring movies late at night, but it was certainly filled with variety. It seems the channel's glory faded along with my own respect for the corporation generally.

I know who posted that on youtube. I'm in a Yahoo group with him, I am the co-moderator of a group devoted to TV signoffs. That clip was on a tape that had 6 straight hours of the Disney Channel from either 1984 or 1985. There's a lot more video of promos and ID's if I can get him to upload it. He taped a solid block of promos that cable operators would tape off the Channel when it went off the air for the operators to air on other channels on their service. I agree, I was around for that era of the Disney Channel and it was great. It was one of my favorite channels. I've visited here a lot but this is my first post and I will post more. Happy to be here.

The Disney Channel sucked since they got rid of Vault Disney and the Disney Afternoon cartoons. And the good classic Disney shorts. Now it's nothing but Teeny Bopper crap.

Though I missed out on these fun days of the Disney Channel since I didn't get cable until the fifth grade, I do remember when we first got it. At least then there were still cartoons on it, I used to tape the Timon and Pumbaa episodes that were on. Nowadays...ugh, you just can't watch it.

Whatever happened to Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Winnie the Pooh, and all the wonderful cartoons that made Disney great? It makes me sad.

I so agree. I also remember the old Timon and Pumbaa cartoons... classic DC. WHY DISNEY, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SUCK???

Whatever happened to the Disney Channel being family oriented? These days, they're trying too hard to attract the teenybopper and tween audience!

I think almost everything is catered to the teenyboppers these days.
