When I sleep, I always sleep with my door closed tight always. I cant sleep if its open even just a crack. Also, the only pet I have is a cat, who sleeps in the basement. Any ways, around 1:30 at night, I felt something heavy sit on my leg. I woke up and looked to find something that resembled a dog staring me in the face, and it was there for like a split second then it was gone...

I dont know why either, but I couldent stop screaming, and I dont even know why but I was just screaming for around 2 mintues, and eventually my parents woke up and asked what was wrong and I told them and yeah...It was fuckin wierd...

My parents blamed it on the music and movies I watch saying that its doing stuff to my brain...But I have had episodes like this before...

This reminds me of a time I woke up screaming thinking that a squirrel was in my bed. Turned out it was my arm moving uncontrollably. Anyway, it could be the result of something you ate before going to sleep, (thus it was your imagination) or it may be caused by another underlying medical problem.

PS - If the dog said "Zuul" I'd recommend calling the Ghostbusters.

That sounds wild...earlier, my family and I were discussing whether or not we dream when we sleep. Most of he time I don't but when I do dream, it's usually reoccurring. I've had a bunch of dreams about an alternate reality where everything goes my way and I have everything I want and then when I wake up I get depressed. It's probably my subconscious mind wanting things to get better for me and my family. I've also suffered through a few episodes in my life of sleep paralysis. This is where you have the sensation of being awake but you can't move your body or speak...it's freaky to say the least.

There's still a lot about sleep and dream cycles that are unknown. I must say that kylewhite's post is the most frightening thing I've read in a while. Truly freaky!

Also, if you use drugs, that pretty much answers everything.

That reminds me about how sometimes I have hallucinations that someone is talking to me than they disappear and I'm laying on the couch or bed talking to myself and I realise I'm awake not asleep. Fucked up shit ay?

Sounds like it could have been "sleep paralysis", or even "Night Terrors". I suffered from night terrors growing up and my younger daughter suffers from them now. Every once in a while I have an episode, but any more they're few and far between. I wouldn't worry about it too much. There are many internal and external factors that can bring about such things. The fact that even the experts don't really know what causes it doesn't help but I don't think you're going crazy or anything. Just watch out for guys in dirty red and green sweaters and knives for fingers.
YOU MIGHT THINK I'M ALONE IN MY ADULATION OF SPIDER-MAN. YOU MIGHT THINK THAT I'M SOMEHOW SOCIALLY OR EMOTIONALLY RETARDED TO STILL HAVE SUCH GREAT PASSION FOR SOMETHING AIMED, ESSENTIALLY, AT CHILDREN, AND CREATED ALMOST 50 YEARS AGO.
