I'm really into music and I've been wanting to write an article focusing on my top ten favorite rockbands, but like usual I have a fear over it ending up in the backpage; the reason being that I feel their are too many non-retro groups in my list. Of coarse Iike music groups that range from the 60s to today, but with most of my groups I can't really figure out if I like some of them more than my current ten favorites. I thought it would be better to put my topp ten here and discuss with everyone. Here are my ten favorite rock artists along with a short description on why I like them:

    10. New Found Glory
Bands who sing their music with energy are the bands to listen to in my opinion, and the guys in New Found Glory know how to sing. I really like the different styles in their music they've been ranging in from pop-punk to emo to classic style. I've heard all their albums and I've never gotten bored on them.
    Favorite Album: "Sticks and Stones"
Favorite Song: "My Friends Over You"

    9. Panic At The Disco
Another group that sings in the fast sounding power pop style of rock. The songs are well sung with Brendan Urie energetic voice. The songs also feature really good lyrics in focusign on themes about having fun, and often mixing the lyrics with classical literature talk.
Favorite Album: "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out"
Favorite Song: "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off"

    8. Enigma
To begin with, Enigma isn't exactly a rock group. Other than rock I also have a big passion for New Age music, and thats what Enigma is often refered to as. They are a very unique New Age group though because they perform in a somewhat electronica/dance style sort of like Daft Punk meets Enya. Anyway when I'm in my moments of stressful feelings and nervousness I love to hear the sounds of Enigma as my method of relaxation, and I think they should deserve to be on my list.
Favorite Album: "Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!"
    Favortie Song: "Beyond The Invisible"

    7. Iron Maiden
The 1980's was a big decade for Metal Rock including artists like: AC/DC, Pantera, Mettalica, Slayer, Guns N' Roses, and my personal favorite IRON MAIDEN! I don't exactly know why, but when I first listened to the album "Number Of The Beast" I enjoyed it the most compared to several of the other albums of 80s Metal Bands I heard. I enjoy hearing the haunting melody and lyrics of Maiden's songs even though I have a fear of hell. I also prefer the way their songs are sung in the less screamish style unlike most metal bands.
Favorite Album: "Number Of The Beast"
Favorite Song: "Number Of The Beast

    6. CKY
Heres a band I got into quite recently, and the thing that caught my attention instantly was the awesome haunting feeling of the songs along with the somewhat hip-hop/rap rock style.
Not much I can say though since I just got into them, but this group is awesome so I can still put them on the list.
    Favorite Album: Infiltrate•Destroy•Rebuild
    Favorite Song: "Close Yet Far"

    5. The Beatles
The rock group that influenced rock altogether with their debut in the 1960s. Their is no possible way that this list could leave out the fabulous Beatles. Lennon, McCarthy, Harrison, and Starr formed a quartet that can not be outdone by any other quartet. It would The Beatles are starting to become more mainstream in the public thanks to the 2007 release ""Across The Universe". All I can say is The Beatles are a bountiful group, but listen to their albums, and don't get into them from watching a Pop Musical.
    Favorite Album: "Abbey Road"
    Favorite Song: "Octopus' Garden"

    4. Social Distortion
A Punk band that was big in the early 90's, but now a days seems to be forgotten. This group sing in a unique rock stlye that seems to combine Punk Rock with a touch of country sounds in them. I also find it funny how lead singer Mike Ness tends to change his singing accent when he performs cause sometimes he sounds Irish, and sometimes like a country singer. Its a same though all the members of the original line-up except Ness have all died. To conclude I like the somewhat spiritual-punk style in the songs and I look foward to the their new-untitled album later on this year.
    Favorite Album: "Social Distortion"
    Favorite Song: "Sick Boys"

    3. Dropkick Murphys
Another Punk group that combines two different music styles and in this case its Punk Rock meets Celtic Folk Music, I love that combination more than any other style in rock history. The Dropkick Murphys sing about all different themes including: Sports Figures(Rocky reference in one song), Celtic Legends, and Illegal Crimes.
    Favortie Album:"The Warriors Code"
    Favorite Song: "The Auld Triangle"

    2. Green Day
The very First band I ever listened to and my orignal number one band. Ever since the release of "Dookie in 1994; these guys have been considered one of the gretest Punk Bands in history, and it's no surprise why. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Durnt, and Tre Cool make and incredible trio. When I first listened to their last most successful album "American Idiot" I felt a whole future of influence coming on to me, and thanks to this group I've gotten into so many bands.
    Favorite Album: "American Idiot"
    Favorite Song: "Jesus Of Suburbia"

    1. Blink 182
No other rock band out thier knows how to perform like my new personal favortie awesome group Blink 182. Tom Delunge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker make the best trio in music history ever; they really do. I have heard every album by these guys and I've never gotten board of any of their songs (The make a reference to my favorite Disney Movie in their song "I Miss You). The only thing I hate about these guys is that they broke up in 2005, what the hell! But they just reunited and will hopefully lead on a future in Punk Rock History that will never be forgotten. I will never stop listening to these guys, I worship them like gods.
Favorite Album: "Enema Of The State"
Favorite Song: "Going Away To College"

I'm really glad I was able to put this in the forums, since I'm too nervous to make an article out of it. I am considering though to make an article inspirred by Dalmatianlover and Treyvore's Favorite cartoon articles where I will list all my favorite rock artists in chronilogical order from the 1960s to the Present.

Anyway if any of you have a top ten band list or anything you want to talk about related to the topic feel free fpr open discussion!

Octopus' Garden is my absolute least favorite Beatles song.

Ringo was the retarded Beatle, barely intelligent enough to continue breating.

Here's a picture of Ringo going "derrrr":

Great songs and maybe it's John Fogerty's vocals.

Funny thing about CCR is the fact that they are notorious for having the most number 2's on the billboard charts without having a number one.

Wow, that's kind of an interesting fact. You'd think they'd have at least one.

I love Blink 182 too, Sheperd of Suburbua. Only I wouldn't say Mark, Tom, and Travis were the great trio. I "proffer" thier early material when they were Mark, Tom, and Scott. Although I do love all thier music, including the material with Travis. My favorite CD by them (and one of my favorite CDs by anyone) is Cheshire Cat. And by the way I also have all the New Found Glory CDs, and all the Green Day CDs, and all the Dropkick Murphys Cds, and a few Social Distortion CDs. Good bands, good bands.
