Have you ever stayed awake for as long as 24 hours?

Yes, i have done it many times. It doesn't make you cool, it's unhealthy, interrupted sleeping patterns can cause cancer over time, apparently.

I need my medicine to help me get to sleep, among other things. I forgot to take it one night and stayed up the whole night and into the next day. I took my pills the following evening and I was out like a light almost immediately. It's not enjoyable at all. You're rolling around in bed, hoping for sleep to come, but it doesn't.

The longest I stayed awake was 72 hours. Started hearing 'whispers' around me. It wasn't any words that I could describe.

I only did it once when I was in college, and it was closer to the 36 hour mark.

I spent most of that time on the road. I almost fell asleep in a plate of hash browns at the Waffle House. When I finally got home and went to bed, I slept for almost 24 full hours.

I have a good sleep pattern now. For awhile my brain was going 100 miles per minute. One time I got no sleep and went to work the next day at 3 pm. I was falling asleep standing up by nightfall. The longest has been about 36 hours. When I break my sleep cycle I get a killer migraine when I wake up.

For those of you that take sleep aids you are doing your body harm. They disrupt REM sleep which helps organizes the memories in your brain. You need light sleep, REM sleep and deep sleep to be healthy. You should try melatonin Caps 2.0 which is a natural chemical your brain produces when you are in darkness. Overtime it will help you get on a sleep cycle. You can get it at most stores that sell vitamins.

Well that sure as hell beats my record of 47-48 hours by quite a bit, the hours blended together and got fuzzy in the end but it was at least 47 don't know if I was into hour 48 or not before I fell asleep. Anyways I do this a couple of times a year weather it be intentional or not.

I went 38 hours. My parents went away for a weekend and I invited some friends over. Nothing too outrageous, and I did try and get some sleep at one stage but as I was drifting off, the bastards decided to have a pillow fight in the hallway and knocked over some pictures, smashing them. After that I needed to stay awake to keep an eye on them!

The reason I was up for 72+ hours, was that I was at a convention with no hotel room. My girlfriend at the time and I figured we could just sleep in the 24 hour video room. We forgot they cleared the rooms out every 2 hours or so to start the next movie. I said fuck it, and stayed up. While she tried to get sleep. We later had sex in one of the conference room bathrooms. That had nothing to do with staying up. Just throwing that out there.
