I HATED the Dawn of the Dead remake. I loved the Fly, the thing, the 1988 Blob remake, and also kind of dug My Blood Valentine 3-D

    John Carpenter's The Thing

    David Cronenberg's The Fly

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (197

Also some people like The Cat People remake (haven't seen it in years but got it at Big Lots for $3 bucks)

    Thats its.

Some people like the 80's version of The Blob but while the practical effects are pretty cool the characters are pretty lame. But I will admit I loved the 1950's version as a kid and have a pretty big bias towards it.

Philip Kaufman's 1978 remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" remains my top pick. Magnificent movie.

Friday The 13th doesn't count as a remake, it's just a random remix of the first four movies and it's sort of a sequel and not a remake of the first movie.

Cat People from 1982 was not a true remake. It was about as loosley based as you can get on the 1942 movie. Except for Nastassja Kinski I thought the film was horrible. I love The thing and the Fly.

The Rob Zombie Halloween remakes were decent. I haven't seen any other horror movie remakes.

Not even The Thing, The Fly or The Blob? 80's classic remakes.
