Apparently, there's not gonna be any more Chowder, and it's looking bad for other cartoons as well.

I know you guys'll love this.

Well, now that Cartoon Network will be changing their name, now I have no reason to complain over the network. I'm also happy that "CN REAL bombed!"

I thought the worst was over before they started airing the canadian cartoons, the secret saturdays and flapjack etc.

This was a great year for cartoon network...too bad it'll end sometime...

Number One: Cartoon Network is changing its name this upcoming fall or early next year. No concrete date is set yet but this fall is the target. The format will contain far fewer animation than in its current incarnation. I do not have concrete info on the channel's new name.

Well, I have questions: What should Cartoon Network do in order to survive such a possible calamity such as this? Would it need new management, new directions, and even newer, younger, more eager animation talent for Cartoon Network or so? What should Cartoon Network do in order to suvive and to stay aloft? When would it ever be a Cartoon Network Renaissance? Would Cartoon Network be either shut down or be revived by a newer crew of younger, more eager animation talent or so?

Well, your thoughts, predictions, and opinions on Cartoon Network's future?

    Thoughts: Dinosaurey.

Predictions: A three minute short of hot Lee Lee and dinosaur action.

    Opinions: Not enough dinosaurs.

As long as Adult Swim remains, I don't care.

It is a bit sad in a way, but their network doesn't appeal much to me anymore, so I am not too worried

I bet this is a hoax.

They didn't even leak the new name for CN. Late April Fool's Joke, I suppose?

That sounds similar to the way G4TV died. They ALSO hired a new president who put on a few reality shows and after they failed, he just cancelled all the video game and technology stuff and added more reality i.e."If you don't want to watch the shows I put on this channel, I'll just have to make it so there's no other choice."

I am surprised that CN Real bombed, I expected to do a lot better.
It sad to hear Cartoon Network failing, It was the only kids network that got their shit together and cared about the network, sad to see it go.
On the another hand, does this mean adult swim can become a full channel, instead of late night? That would be awesome.

I found that sad, but truth be told, their network has gone down so much that it kind of makes sense.

Oh well, thank god for DVDs is all I can say.

Most of my DVD collection is cartoons. I have the complete series of the Powerpuff girls and Looney Tunes: Golden collection volume one and four. So if miss me some old school Cartoon Network, it's all good.

I personally think that's retarded and a damn shame........Oh well their fucking lost. I stopped watch Cartoon Network about 2 years ago.........and even then without the reality shows it sucked.

I agree it's a shame. But you also mention and most here have stated that they stopped watching the channel a long time ago anyway. I guess there were many others who felt that way as well. So I guess why not take a chance and show something different to attention newer younger viewers?

But as long as they keep Boomerang as all cartoon channel, that would really be a shame if they changed that.
