Being off-topic, I miss the material they used to show on Calliope personally.

I vaguely remember that about USA... Didn't have cable, only watched it at my grandma's house. But I watched a lot of TNT in the evening over there and always watched Rocky and Bulwinkle and... that show with Mr. Peabody... having a brain fart over the name.

USA Cartoon Express was awesome! I loved every moment of it. Yeah Cartoon Network used to show the HB cartoons until they started making their own lame ass cartoons.

cartoon express was wonderful one of the thing si loved the most was the randomness of what they showed. you really didnt know what hanna barbara cartoon it would be. i wish cartoon network did that they have such a huge catalog of shows that they could show somthing diffrent everyday not run though such a strict line up even boomerrang does it.

Cartoon Network never showed Gobots or a some of HBs other 80s era work. Sky Commanders (obscure HB toon), Trollkins, Baskins and an few others. That made me kinda sad. But they did show Fantasic Max, The Misadventures of Ed Grimley, Pound Puppies, Smurfs, Snorks and a few others I can't think of right now. But I miss Cartoon Express.

Wow, I remember Calliope! I used to watch the USA Cartoon Express all the time. It used to show Yogi's Treasure Hunt.

The pics up there is from the 90s version of the Cartoon Express, though. The 80s version had the train going around the world or something.

One question did Cartoon Express come out in 1982 or 1989?

I'd say 82 because I remember watching it as a kid.

I think USA Cartoon Express made its first run in 1982.

If anyone has any of the CX bumpers dating from 1982-1988 (including the biker one), as well as those of the Saturday edition known as "USA Saturday Cartoon Express," please upload them in the future. I miss them very much now, at the ripe old age of 25 . . .

I miss Cartoon Express too. Now USA replaced it with a bunch of boring shows that I don't really care for.

Too bad I didn't get USA Network until '85 or so, so I don't remember percisely my first glimpse at Cartoon Express, but I do remember that being the first place I ever saw Yogi Bear and the other H-B classics that weren't on Saturday morning or syndication.
