I don't know if this has been a topic already, but talking about how our childhood and our era was so great, what things didn't you like? So, what did you not like about your era?

Backstreet Boys and N*Sync are two things that stand out in my mind right now.

Florescent cheap looking fanny packs. Actually, fanny packs in general. Big poofy bangs. Unfortunatly the more hickish chicks in my home state of Maine and down south still like to wear them that way. Acid washed jeans, swish flouride, in school spinal screenings(have no clue if they still do that), Beavis and Butthead, Daria, being a fat kid in the 80s/early 90s when there weren't as many fat kids so you stuck out lol

Saved by the Bell and Full House. Really tight knicker pants. There are more , but I can't think of them.

Boybands. Lame knock-off toys. Crappy fashion. But most of all (being a Marvel fanboy) most of the 90's comics series were abysmal at the least. Spider-man had some really shitty moments in particular.

However my favourite character Deadpool had his debute in the 90's so that was good for something right?

Ya know I used to think Ben Reilly and the whole "Clone Saga" ordeal was pretty cool when I was little. I downloaded the complete saga not so long ago and was unpleasantly surprised. Never before have I seen such a convoluted mess of writer's different interpretations, my god.

Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider suit was pretty cool though.

And the Ultimate re-telling of the Clone Saga was spectacular.

Agreed there. I had a friend who was obsessed with them and had a whole room dedicated to them. I never understood why. Actually, I still don't.

Other than that, there's really not much that I didn't like. To me, most everything from then was and is still great.

I can't think of anything, seriously. I liked Hanson and Backstreet Boys music...just not on the "obsession" level (didn't own anything by 'em lol) and to this day, I will never understand how any person can be obsessed with a band or artist.

I agree with the whole boy band sensation. I actually loved it when I was younger but now, looking back at it today, it was absolute garbage.

I forgot one other big thing. Pokemon. I hated it before it was cool to do so.

Richard Marx on the radio and Much Music every 5 seconds. He reminded me of the Rex Manning character in Empire Records. There was an overly heavy saturation of NKOTB in the late 80's and early 90's too. My sister was in their target demographic at the time so I heard them and about them non stop for a few years.

I don't miss the lack of technology there was at the time either, the computer I used to use was like a typewriter with a monitor attached and until the mid 90's I was still using a cassette tape walkman.

Ah yes, walkmans....I still have mine. I don't really have any tapes to play in it though.

I've got one around too and a small handful of tapes too, but they're all collecting dust right now. I use an mp3 player and a discman these days.
