Yea it pretty much sucked I was coming home from work driving my moms slug bug. going about 50mph when a huge Turkey runs out in front of me, I swerve, do a 180, go into then ditch and my car rolls over. luckily I had my seat belt on and a bunch of people saw it and stopped, some guys pushed the car back upright so I could get out. I didnt get hurt at all...I dont think. but it was still freaky. so I guess thats my excitment for today.

That's really scary, I know how you feel. Back in 2001, I was in a car accident that almost killed me. I ended up with two broken legs, one broken thumb, and tons of scars all over my body. I'm just glad that you're okay.

Yikes. It's always best to slow down and just keep going in the same direction.

What kind of car were you driving?

I was just in your shoes last November (as it was well documented back then). It freaking sucked. I swerved outta control and the front left part of a car hit a tree, spinning out on the side of the road.

Good to hear you're okay, though.
Hopefully the cops didn't bitch you out and accuse you of not wearing your seltbelt and have your parents threatening you with bootcamp like with me

Wow, that must have been scary, that's one of the many things I'm worried about when I start to drive.

I was driving a volkswagon beetle.

also whoever said girls shouldnt drive I take no offense to that, its not that girls are bad drivers I think the thought of hitting an animal especially a big one really freaks out alot of girls, so they swerve with out thinking. Guys on the other hand will almost always just charge the animal down without even thinking about it, lol. but yea i've heard it from so many people today that I should have just hit the turkey, and brought home dinner. lol

    Glad your ok...

You really shouldn't try to avoid hitting someone though. Should just keep going straight slow down as much as possible and say OH S** OH SH** and hope for the best. Like when the person was turning in front of you had you hit them the accident would of been their fault and their insaurace has to cover the bill. If you try to miss someone and land in a ditch then your insaurance has to cover the bill.

I know the first thought that goes through your mind is try to miss the person that's always been my first thought I personally just keep going straight and say OH SH** OH SH** and hoped for the best.
It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

    Good thing you're okay.

I was in a car accident myself a few weeks ago. Some d-bag decided it would be a good idea to cut in front of people into the opposite lane of traffic and smashed into my car when I was waiting to make a left turn. I got away with a few minor injuries but my car was totalled. One of the front axels broke in HALF. : (

I was pretty pissed at first, but my friends and family kept reminding me that the important thing was that I walked away. It could've been SO much worse- you never really think about that sort of thing until it happens to you.

Now I'm lookin' for a new ride. I'm thinkin' about puttin' some money into a new Mustang. I've always wanted onea those babies.

This happens to me all the time..I know how you feel! I know it is better to wipe them out and keep yourself/others safe...but I have a problem with this and always wind up swerving..I probably would have squished about a hundred animals by now if didn't, and I'm still ok, guess I'm just lucky..(yea, yeah, and to some people stupid... )

Better safe than sorry. I'd at least go to the doctor or something just to make sure nothing's wrong.
