This is by far on of the best intros ever. This small piece contains all the elements that made the 80's a great. We have a grand epic musical piece and great visuals that create a buildup. It didn't matter what movie followed, one just got a feeling that they had to watch it with this intro setting it up. Back then premieres on HBO were big things where families would build movie nights around. Nothing but fond memories...anyone else?

This intro saw play until the late 90's/early 00's when HBO went through a dinky make-over. The cgi re-imagined version is rubbish. The classic one is still and always will be the best.

I remember it playing a lot later than the 80s. Brings back memories!

I still seem to remember a HBO intro like this but instead of a band playing in the background you heard people singing it really cheesy like, and you could see a hand pushing the bus with a finger or it might have been one of the cars or both. and the HBO logo was hanging on a string. I only saw it a couple of times but I'm sure I saw this thing. anybody else remember this version?

It was an April Fools gag played by HBO.

I used to love this as a kid. It used to play right before Fraggle Rock came on back in the day and i'd get so excited. Now it tugs at the heart strings a little.
