Well Retro, i believed Batman needed to be rebooted badly cause the Burton movies were flawed while Nolan perfected him better. Afterall there is Rob Zombie and the "Hostel" movies that are fresh new horror franchises.

Well not Burton, his movies were great, I liked the dark spin on the Adam West show and Nicholson as the Joker. What's his name who took over after him was the one who ruined the series.

Though I do admit Batman did need a revamp after Batman and Robin.

I agree . I loved tim burton's version of batman. For ruining batman blame warner brothers. Batman returns made a ton of money, but they thought it should have made more so they wanted it to go more main stream. The new director was Joel Schumacher by the way.

Goddamn enough with the remakes and live action movies people. It gets so tiring to see a classic ruined.Just like they did for Fast and the Furious.

That's the one I was thinking of. Anyway yeah I blame Warner Bros too, because according to rumor, they got rid of Burton because his movies were too dark. I mean that must be one of the the stupidest decisions ever made, I mean they don't call him the Dark Knight for nothing.

I got nightmares with englund, but with this dude? Come on now. When will it not be about the money or the fact that hollywood is running out of ideas?

Amen, everything's ether a remake or a rip off of a foreign film. Why can't Hollywood see beyond the money, create new age classics like the ones I grew up with. Movies like "Jurassic Park" and "The Lion King".

Meh I knew I said had hopes for Billy Bob, but way I saw it, it was the less of two evils, after all a Nightmare on Elm St. remake was inevitable with Leatherface, Jason and Mike Myers getting their reboot.

God I cringe when I think about who might be next, as this string of remakes unnessisary sequels are being made.

I'll tell you who's next, Hellraiser. Soon as I find a link I'll post it.

Wow, I was thinking The Leperchaun (given how special effects people love those computer graphics) or maybe even Scream, but Pinhead does make the most sense.

Also I heard they're already making a sequel to the Halloween remake and yet another pointless Final Destination sequel...this time in 3-D.

Yeah, but Clive Barker is supporting this and is involved in the film. Its going to closer to the novella the Hellbound Heart he authored. Logic being, if the creator is involved, no one should be bitching.

I thought Billy Bob Thorton was going to play Freddy? Honestly I thought he had potential...but this guy? I don't think so.

I think Billy Bob Thorton WOULD make a great Freddy Krueger!

They're redoing Piranha, It's Alive, and Night of the Demons as well.

Billy Bob Thornton is just too laid back to be Freddy IMHO and might end up playing him as a terrible caricature. Personally i'm also agianst having a new Freddy but if given a choice i'd pick Liam Neeson coz he's a total badass who'd be more believable.

Just watch Darkman and you'll know why.
