I disagree with AVGN on this Particular game -

    Michael Jackson's Moonwalker:

I really like this game. He more or less nitpicked it apart, and did the game an extreme unjustice. This game I think is one of the best titles for Sega Genesis, and a classic that whoever owns a Genesis should at least try once. Great Music, Great gameplay, and great graphics. What more do you want?

    I give this a Thumbs-up!

Oh hell!! I want this game so bad!!! But I don't want to pay $200 for it. I think I'll go buy a copy of Final Fantasy VII instead...

I think Michael Jackson's Moonwalker is a damn good game. It's kinda hard, but I have managed to beat it twice.

But the AVGN didn't really say the game was bad about Moonwalker, you notice? He just pointed out the problems the game had gameplay wise, like how pointless his crotch grab was or how the higher levels were tough due to inconsistency and how Another Part of Me played for the Thriller board (which I remembered from a kid; I was like, shouldn't it be Thriller?). IMO, he didn't bash it at all.

IMO, the Moonwalker review is pretty much the best one he's done, even though, I felt he didn't bash it. I wonder if his being a bit of a MJ fan had a little to do with it.

Well, in keeping with the topic, I'd have to say I disagree with his Double Dragon 3 review for the nes. Next to Super Double Dragon on the SNES, it is my favorite in the series. Sure it was hard, you really had to practice at it.

One other thing, the nerd says that you don't get any continues during the game. Not true, you actually do get continues the farther into the game you go (around the Rome stage or so). It just takes practice.

Double Dragon 3 was definitely the worst of the series for i also thought parts 1 and 2 were far better.

What about it made it worst in the series for you? Here's what I liked about it:

1.)Great graphics, at times I forgot I was playing an NES game.

2.) Awesome music. I loved almost every track on the game (my favorite being the China theme).

3.) Great gameplay. Multiple characters (some more useful than others but, eh....) and the ability to use weapons (though they ran out after a while). Now, don't get me wrong, I loved Double Dragon 1, and 2 also, but three is my favorite. I just don't see why it gets such a bad rep...

Dude are you saying super double dragon was bad? That was the best version of double dragon and a great super nes game. That game rocked. Double dragon 3 for nes was good, but way to hard for most gamers. In terms of graphics, music and gameplay it rocked for the time period it came out. The only issue was crazy challenge ruined it for many.

Sorry, I meant Double Dragon 5 (wich isn`t actually that bad,but still crap compared to the other games).

In fact Super Double Dragon is one of my favourite Beat em`ups in the Snes.

Yes Super Double Dragon was an improvement over part 3 and managed to be as good as the first 2 and brought the series back on it's feet.

Same goes for Castlevania 1 3 and 4 being the best.

I actually just bought Double Dragon 3 just because of the AVGN review. I had to see Bimmy and Jimmy for myself.

As for Castlevania, parts 1, 3, and 4 were awesome. Symphony of the Night was the best.

I found out about AVGN from my 14 year old son.
(He lives most of the year with his mother, dont blame me.)

I dont have an issue with his reviews, But my son,and I'm sure many others really should decide for themselves if a game 'sucks' or not.
