    Everyone remembers this!

The movie just bombed at the theaters.

Then the soundtrack album was released in 1984 . . . and everything changed.

Let my namesake take it "On The Dark Side":

On the Dark Side is awesome. Michael Pare was my GOD back in the early 80s.

Loved this movie and the sequel was great too. All the music they sing is by the band john cafferty and the beaver brown band. Great music, great movies

An old college buddy of mine invited me over to his new house back in 1992 and he asked me "did you ever see Eddie & The Cruisers?". Yeah, I told the truth - "no". Then he put a cd in the player, and I was blown away! Kickass music! Would you believe I still haven't seen the movie?

The movie had a sequel in spite of its poor reception

The sequel was horrible. But Eddie and the Cruisers was a great movie. A good detective novel type movie.

My friends and I watched Eddie and the Cruisers a bunch of times in their basement, we all totally had a crush on Michael Pare, and that song is so awesome, On the Darkside, I still rock out when I hear it.

I'm glad to hear from fans of the movie. Sure puts a smile on my face when I hear anything from the soundtrack.

I sang "On The Dark Side" at karaoke once, and I got a great reception for it. It helped that I listened to the song on YouTube several times to get the nuances of it.

I own it, but I still haven't opened it yet. I really need to.

What is an even better movie and soundtrack with Michael Pare is "Streets of fire" the following year in 1984
