Even though I think Nick is a fucking joke now.......

Seriously this is not an annoying Nick sux thread I just want to know some of you guy's opinion about the network being on for almost (2009) 30 years. I really want to know what Nick has plan to celebrate.

When did you start watching Nick?
I was watching it since I was a baby.

    What do you think?

I think they will celebrate. But, They would make a bigger deal for the 50 anniversary (If It lasts that long).

Boy 30 years of Nickelodeon. That'd be awesome if they did celebrate. I really enjoyed their 25th anniversery celebration when they played reruns of some of their older shows, man that brought back memories.

Next year is also the 10th anniversery of Spongebob, so that could be a problem.

I think they could care less about the older stuff or it would be on DVD by now.

if they can put out a dvd of "sponges bob's best episodes" and "sponge Bob season 1" which are basically the same, they can make a classic nick DVD.

I know they keep those tapes of the old shows somewhere but dont want to release them, that's why when you see them on youtube they are only there for at the most a week

Ive been watching Nick since I was bornm pretty much. Thats back when Nick was at its best, IMO. I'd stay up and have marathons with my mother and watch all the old shows, when they would run Patty Duke, My Three Sons, Rhoda, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Dick Van Dyke, Laverne & Shirley, Bewitched, Dennis The Menace, etc. All the good stuff.

I've been watching Nick since I believe 1993. The first show I remember seeing on Nick was Rugrats, my favorite Nick toon.

I agree that the direction Nick has taken during the past few years hasn't been very good, but I try to ignore that and focus on the wonderful past Nick had and not focus on the problems Nick has nowadays.

Wow, 30 years of Nickelodeon. Didn't even realize it. I think I first saw Nickelodeon in the mid-80s. I know I was watching it prior to Kindergarten and I started Kindergarten in 1986.

Either way, it would be nice if they did something to celebrate its 30th. It would be nice to do like maybe three weeks of programming like it was originally. First week, show stuff from the first ten years as it was originally shown (time slot and all), then the second week, same thing, only from the next ten years, and so forth. Or maybe show every single Nick Kids Choice Award.

Too bad Nick doesn't have rights to the good episodes of You Can't Do That On Television. Just the ones with Alanis Moirsette (sp?) and one of those can't be shown since it was a communist ep. The ep with the red slime. I remember that so vividly.

Cmon, I want to see Cat-dog, 2 Angry Beavers, and Rocket Power again.

I started watching Nickelodeon when I was 4 back in 1987. I remember watching Finders Keepers, the first incarnation of Double Dare and You Can't Do That on Televison. I remember the O-Zone when they would show reruns of Mork and Mindy along with Hey Dude. I stopped watching Nickelodeon in 1999. I got too old for it and the shows sucked.

Nickelodeon has taken a turn for the worse, mainly because it feels it needs to compete with the Disney Channel.

next year is 30 years of nickelodeon?,wow time fly's fast doesn't it? . i remember watching nickelodeon in 1994, i remember watching Doug,Rugrats (which i felt unconforable with some episodes when i was 3),All That, Roundhouse and many others. i never wanted all of those shows from the 90s to end but, they had to

the only part i have trouble remembering is kids choice awards 94

i hope they have shows of the mid 80s to late 90s because i enjoy them and maybey the younger generation would enjoy them too. ill be so disapointed and upset if they don't celebrated there anniversary and have a spongebob marathon instead
im a nick historean ( for life )

I probably watched nick from infancy...although I don't remember, my sister watched it all the time, so I probably saw some old shows....but I do remember seeing re-runs of old shows like "The adventures of Pete and Pete" in '98 or '99.

I've been watching Nickelodeon since 1982. That was before the Nicktoons. I may be in the minority, but I personally think Nickelodeon has went downhill before Spongebob.

I watched Nickelodeon ever since I was 3. That's when I started discover shows like Double Dare, Finders Keepers, Inspector Gadget, Heathcliff, Maple Town, The Adventures of the Little Koala and more. From the 80s to the late 90s, Nickelodeon was the best channel I've ever watch. I hope they do aired those classic shows next year, if they celebrate!

They should have a 24-hour Pinwheel marathon. That would be cool.
