I read once that not many Americans have passports. Since the majority of users on this site are American I'd like to know how many of you have passports.

If you don't have a passport, why? And if you do, have you ever been overseas?

Nope, don't have a Passport. Why? I can't afford to go out of the country. I can barely afford to leave this state, let alone the country. If I had nice disposable income, I'd definitely travel.

Nope, no passport here either. Like Jup81, I cant afford to leave the country, and personally, I really dont want to. Well, except to visit Italy. I've always wanted to visit there.

I remembered. Daniel85 also has a passport. But maybe it's because he isn't an American.

I've also read that people who are born on an island (i.e. Australia, Japan, Singapore, England etc.) are more likely to visit other countries and travel the world than those who are born and raised in either a land-locked country or one that borders another country. Discuss.

I have a passport, but I haven't used it in more than a decade. The only time I used it was when I took a trip to Ireland with my brother all the way back in 1996. I'd really like to visit Ireland again someday...Maybe a few years down the line, like in 2011. I'd have to discuss it with my brother and mom, though.
