Yes you do but you do not get to collect badges & stuff. You do however, get to run around in a full 3D world and catch Pokemon.

Alright, does the game play like Zelda 3, Earth Bound, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, or [insert random 90s-2000s RPG here]?

HA! no!.................think Crash Bandicoot if it were an RPG. the game does feature the ability to capture wild monsters but only a handful. and you can steal specific pokemon from other trainers. having this game makes it easier to collect monsters like legendaries. i suggest playing Colisseum first.

Hmm. I take it this isn't your typical RPG (not even similar to final fantasy, how they're played anyway)

sounds kinda interesting. kinda makes me regret not getting a 'cube. oh well Wiis have the capability to play GC games.

I love(d) the Gamecube, Nintendo's only embarassment as far as I am concerned as far as console's go is the Virtual Boy, but it was so small most people don't even remember it. Zelda Windwaker, and Paper Mario 2 is enough to prove my point about the cube being awesome. Plus if you really think about it no other controller has made such sweet love to your hands, it forms quite perfectly to the hand. Last time something felt that good in my hands it cost me 50 dollars. Also pretty sure it led in Sales between Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft for the time those consoles were in circulation. PS2 probably wins now considering they still sell them. NINTENDO can do no wrong in my book. Bottom line, nobody should critisize the Cube.

I got my gamecube as a present and have been very happy with it. As a stand alone console it is kind of weak for people who like a large selection of 3rd part support. I've had fun with it,but mainly as my secondary console. I'm playing metroid right now. It's had some of my favorite games last generation. The lack of 3rd party support and no online features are what hurt it. Mackian I Love my cube, but it didn't lead over the ps2 or xbox during circulation.

I only got the Gamecube to play Legend of Zelda: Windwaker. I didn't find much wrong with the GC. I liked it okay, same with the N64. I liked that too. I liked both about the same in all honesty, but I still never got much for either system.

It has some elements of an RPG but isn't really classified as one in my opinion, I would call it an Adventure game. You don't get to name your character or make any choices therefore you are not taking on the Role of the character but playing the role of Link.
