Why do people think the Gamecube was so bad? I'm guessing people were too busy drooling over their older N64s and their newly unopened Playstation 2's to even pay attention to the good games it had.

Animal Crossing, you can't go wrong with the original. The sequal Wild World is not even half as fun as people say it is, or half the fun of the original for the Gamecube. You can get NES games in the original, even Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda if you use the Action Replay in the original Animal Crossing. Also, Super Smash Bros. Melee is extremely fun, like all the Super Smash Bros. games, but this game probably had some of the better levels like Hyrule Castle and the Pokemon Stadium. The music in Gamecube games is great, especially in Animal Crossing, it's really addictive. Chibi Robo went beyond my exceptations, and it was completely addictive. I played it nearly every day and never stopped until my brother, and sister and I beat it. And look at those Mario-oriented games for the Gamecube, Mario Kart Double-Dash, Mario Party 7, Super Mario Sunshine, not to mention, some of the great Legend of Zelda games for the system. These are great a few games that I've played, I know there's much more great games for the Gamecube. I'm currently playing Battalion Wars on the 'Cube, and it is so awesomely addictive. I should be playing it right now.

On closing note, the Gamecube is awesome and can't argue with that logic.

I agree, it's really underrated. People complain about the controller, but it's not half as retarded as the N64 one. Animal Crossing and Melee were great, but unfortunately enough, were the only two big hits for the system in my opinion. Luigi's Mansion sucked, Super Mario Sunshine was no 64 nor Galaxy, and I never cared for post-A Link to the Past Zelda games.

There are plenty of great titles though, other than the aforementioned, I've been addicted to Double Dash, F-Zero GX, Kirby's Air Ride, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Gems Collection, Sonic Adventure DX, and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Yeah, all Sonic and racing games. They just seemed to fit the system the best.

    It's Director's Cut, you fucker.

I'm glad I didn't like Pokémon XD, avoided being called out on that one. In fact, all the Gamecube Pokémon games sucked... quite the opposite of the Nintendo 64.

Yes, I enjoyed Hey You, Pikachu!.

I owned one, and I can say that it wasn't terrible. I consider it my least favorite of all of the Nintendo consoles, but it wasn't bad. The only reason people say they hate it is because the media often criticized it. Still, I'd probably rather play a different Nintendo system if I had to choose.

GameCube definitely boasts a library of sweet games--too bad that the system did kinda pass under the radar, so to speak.

I hated N64. But I liked the GameCube. It's wasn't a fantastic console but it was fun. I mainly bought it for the Metroid titles. Zelda was fun too.

Actually, Gamecube was a really underrated system. People seem to forget the shitty start of the PS2, with it's shitty graphics, Sony's production rate of them, yadda yadda yadda. I mean really, it had Animal Crossing, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Superstar Baseball, Mario Kart-Double Dash, and some other really good games.

Yes you do but you do not get to collect badges & stuff. You do however, get to run around in a full 3D world and catch Pokemon. Also, I do think that the Gamecube was the most underrated game system in history. People cared too much about the fact that thier PS2s could also play DVD's and CD's and that Halo on the Xbox was just so cool to care about the Gamecube. What about the cool games that the Gamecube and OLNY the Gamecube had like Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Smash Bros. Melee?

I personally liked the GameCube more than the Nintendo 64. Animal Crossing used to be part of my daily routine.

To me the Gamecube was a polar opposite to the Xbox. each only had a limited library that appealed to a different audience. while the PS2 had a huge library with a lot to offer. in fact, back in the day, gamestop had taken up double wallspace of the others.

anyways. GC was awesome. it helped us avoid missing out on the DC console's obsoletion. We got remakes of Sonic Adventure, then Skies of Arcadia, and they even threw in Sonic Gems collection. and because of nintendo's legacy, we could easily enjoy the new franchise games soooo thats why it rocked.
