I'm out of my element here but in the mid 1970's this perfume called "Charlie" was everywhere. The Revlon ad campaign was impossible to ignore and many comedy shows did parody tributes to Charlie. One thing I do know, Revlon made a lot of money and a lot of women were wearing the same fragrance.

Here is the original Charlie TV spot in awful low res on youtube:

My Mom loves Charlie she used to wear it all the time when I was growing up.

My Aunt bought me a small bottle a few yrs ago for Christmas. It the the first Christmas after my Uncle Charlie died. I wear it on special occasions including to her Funeral in 2005.
It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

As far as I know, Charlie was the most successful brand launch in Revlon history. That low-res youtube clip shows the commercial ad that ran everywhere on TV for a while. That commercial was so well-known that comedy shows did parodies of it. I think SNL did a parody of Charlie that was quite good.
