Adult charges over a childish tantrum... He's 12, he can't do that anymore and still get a slap on the wrist. He got what he deserved. He definitely should have been expelled for that. Sure, if a kid's severly acting up, he needs to be taught a lesson, but I just cringe when I see these elementary-aged kids being treated like criminals, etc...

BS! He's 12, not 2, he needs a taste of adult punishment. You can't let a kid that old throw violent tantrums and then ignore it. He's well over old enough to know better. He's headed straight for a violent adulthood, probably because his parents never told him to stop hitting his siblings at home. And it makes no difference that he got arrested, his record will be cleared before he's 16 as long as he straightens up. The ones that don't learn deserve to have their mistakes follow them around.

I think we have a lot of criminals in the world. So much that certain acts don't even surprise me. Although what does surprise me is young kids/little kids committing crimes. Thankfully crimes amoungst pre-teen children aren't as common as adults or teens but that still doesn't make it right. I mean this kid is 12 so he's still a pre-teen which is why it seems bizarre but of corse it's true if publicity is covering it. But besides the point I think anyone in their right mind that would pose a threat in terms of wanting to kill someone or someone who actually does it or attempts to do it theres something not right in their head.

He's a little kid. And if you've seen pictures of him, you can tell he obviously can't hit hard. Unless he likes deforms the baby, I don't think he should be punished like this.
