I think you're pretty in both of the pics. The makeover does make you look more mature.

My sis is taking 3 inches off tomorrow to get rid of the dead stuff. But I'm growong it to my knees then cutting it back to my butt and donating it to Locks Of Love.

I agree with bassman; you're lovely in both photos. The only makeover I've had recently was shaving off my mustache Baby steps, right?

god bless you for that... i work with locks of love taking the actual wigs to kids at t.c. thompsans childrens hospital in tennessee... you could not get a better feeling than seeing their faces after they have the wig on for the first time... feel good about it then, and she only needs to take 2 inches to keep your hair healthy... hair only grows a half inch a month, so take 4 months off instead of 6... that way you can get to the 10 inches you need for locks of love that much sooner!

That's very cool of both of you. Very good cause. You both get two thumbs up from me.

You look great in both pictures.

The first picture has a girl-next-door quality to it, while the second one has a glamorous quality to it, but whichever look you go with, it's a great one.

You look great both before and after!
And so lucky to have hair that will grow long enough and healthy enough to donate.

I've been thinking about doing that Locks of Love thing also...currently my hair is waist length. I've had long hair for FOREVER (well okay, maybe about 4 years) and I'm starting to get kind of annoyed with it.

You definitely look great in both pics. And it's looking quite nice as it's growing out. Long hair looks trashy on some folks, but it looks very nice on you. Hooray for hair straighteners!

Do be careful when donating your hair, because most of it goes to commercial wig producers (a.k.a. Locks of Love sells a lot of the donations) or gets thrown away because it's unusable (due to bleaching, coloring, and other damaging chemical treatments). Also, they don't donate wigs that actually DO get made to cancer patients - there is a fee attached. Nice charity organization, eh? That's why I never donated my hair to their little scam when I got my foot-long ponytail chopped off.

Yep. I knew that. They have to buy the wigs. But either way, they need hair in order to make the wigs, so why throw away your hair? Thats such a waste.
