They have already had 6 deaths in the Houston area this year because of this. I think the child seat laws are part of the blame. A simpler solution would be to let the parents keep them in the front seat and allow the airbags to be disabled. They need to have an alert tone like when you leave your keys in the car or lights on. BTW most of the parents here did not get charged.

I would say it would be much more than a simple accident when someone dies. Especially young children.

I'd like to know what the fuck about any of this you would get a smile about. Some people make asshole comments for shock value, this is just sick.

I dont think that she did it on purpose, if anything blame the makers of the vehicle for not putting in a device that alerts the driver when there child is in the car.

That's what I was saying. This happens way too much and a change in the parents routine can cause them to forget. Especially if their running late! I don't see how locking this grandmother up is going to do any good. You punish people for intentional death not accidents.

Edit: I'm sure she's upset enough aready about it. With that being said people really need to be more careful.

Yes, I'm pretty certain she didn't do it on purpose. It's the level of negligence that's the issue here. She was the caretaker of that child, not the car. She was solely responsible for the well-fair of that child. Forgetting to take a young child out of a car in scorching weather is like forgetting to feed the child or take care of the child, or whatever else the child needs. It's inexcusable, in my opinion.

This has to be the dumbest thing I've ever seen you post. You usualy make pretty good sense in all of the post, but this is crazy. She left the child in while she was at work. It was HER responsibility. To say that the car maker is to blame just made me lose what respect I had for the value of your post. No, she most likely DIDN'T do it on purpose. She did it because she was too damn self absorbed with her own life and didn't think about what would happen to the child if left in the car by itself. I just can't believe any sympathy for the women. It blows my mind. I guess you learn something about people every day.

Regarless we all should know by now how the general public is. You know you have to make everything dummy proof because their are lots of dummies. My point was this happens too much and something needs to be done to prevent it. I don't think make examples out of people will change anything. At the least maybe some PSA's.

Ok ravage lets ask you the same question and put you in the same exact situation as this lady. Lets just say that your running late for work and your all in a tizzy that your boss may fire you if your late once more. If you forgot the same way this lady did would you want to spend five or more years in prison just because you forgot about your child being left in the car. Oh by the way ravage its not up to you or nippy if i have children and just because i dont agree with evrything you and nippy say does not mean im wrong. In fact thats the one thing that pisses me the hell off about this world is its the fact that evrything has to be someones fault people just cant accept the fact that accidents happen
