I'm wondering how many of you believe in the supernatural. Whether it be ghosts, werewolves, vampires, zombies, mermaids, fairies, big-foot, Lock-ness monster, chupacabras, aliens, ect. I'd like to know which one(s) you believe or don't believe in and a brief explanation as to why you choose to believe or not.

Personally, I believe in all of the ones I have mentioned. I believe that they at least existed at one point in time. A lot of them have been proven to exist but not professional enough to be declared as an existing thing. Or maybe the government knows about some of these creatures, but (like UFOs), they will not announce that they are real.

    What do you think?

Actually yes. I believe in ghosts. I've had a few experiences with them. In fact, one lives near my closet in my room. I don't bother it, it doesn't bother me. Its one of those things where you can 'feel' something there.

There's a few 'haunted' places around me that fun to go. The best is the haunted asylum.

Yeah, my old house is haunted and my aunt and her brother both saw the same ghost in the same place, but at different times! There's a haunted theater in my town that's haunted by the ghost of a fireman who died there in the 30s or something. They have like a shrine for him in the main area.

But man, a haunted asylum??? That rules!

EDIT: There is also apparently a gate to hell not far from where I live. They call it the stairway to hell and its this metal trap door in the middle of a grassy field in between train tracks and a river. Its a huge mass of land so its almost impossible to find. I heard they locked it up and buried it after some kids disappeared in the 80s.

Yeah man, me and a few friends investigated a haunted grave where they buried a witch upside down and covered it in cement. Its not even in a cemetery, its on the side of an old road. We were filming a mini series called Scream catchers but all of our equipment stopped working so we left. We felt bad that we jumped on her grave though.

I've gone to a few places with my digital camera but I always get scared after a few minutes and leave haha. It's normaly more that i'm afraid the neighbors will call the police and say some freaks are in the graveyard or checking out the factory acrossed the street. I've only ever caught mosquitos or rain drops in the graveyards though.(that at first glance probably alot of people mistake for orbs when caught on film)

Here I caught some boring mosquitos and some sort of mist that im sure was unfortunatly explainable

That's how I feel. When I get a chance to go somewhere that is supposently haunted, I do it for fun and take pictures, knowing that most likely there is an explanation for something that might happen, but do it for fun and think that hey, you never know, maybe this will be the one time you find something unexplainable. I knew that what I was taking pictures of was likely mosquitos or raindrops because the weather had been sucky earlier that day and the ground was wet. Plus what are the odds of catching tons of orbs in tons of different pictures on your first trip? Not likely. I think that it's really hard to determine what's really an orb and what is just dust, bugs, raindrops, etc. Except in that situation where I knew it was bugs. It didn't bum me out because I knew not to get excited and think that unlike on those mtv fear type reality shows (unlike ghost hunters where they more often DONT find anything) where the second they walk into a place shit happens, that I probably wouldn't find anything.

I love to read supposedly true Ghost stories. Especially ones about my home state.

I think I'm too paranoid as it is to go ghost hunting but I'll try.I just don't want the ghost to pop out right in front of my face.that would be freaky.

There have been accounts of vampirism and lycanthropy (werewolf disease) for centuries and there are even writings about cases in which people have encountered them, but everyone just assumes they were lying about everything or what they saw was something else.

There is a book called The Werewolf by Montague Summers, which has the true accounts of werewolfism but I'm having a hard time tracking this one down. I believe it was written in the 30s, maybe earlier.

A lot of the time the orbs are just dust particles.

There's so much photographic evidence and video footage of ghosts out there. Did you ever notice that the people who analyze them always determine it to be fake or unexplained? Personally, if it's not determined a fake, then its real. Why can't they just admit that ghosts are real?

Its the scientific approach. You have to know what kind of environment conditions you're dealing with. If its normal for particles like that to be in the air, ect. I believe that ghosts are real, I just still need proof of an encounter.

i think that for me, no picture or video someone else took will be good enough for me unless I personaly experienced it. I actually like it when people go out of their way to debunk it, because then if they can't, it makes it that much more interesting.

Man, this video on youtube, fake or not has always creeped me out. I won't post it because the quality sucks ass, but it's of a girl walking into a corner I beleive.
