Well, the title says it all. Whats your favorite TV intro....whether it be a cartoon, or real life, a game show....from any year , doesn't matter. Whats your favorites and why?

Ive always liked the intro to Pete & Pete, im sure exactly why, theres something about it that just brings back my childhood.

I also like the intro to Kenan & Kel, only because it reminds me of Snick and the orange couch is in it

I like Rocko's Modern Life's intro because I like the drawing style and the colors.

I'll post more if I think of any.

For such a sub-par show, Hamtaro's was damn catchy.

Hands down, my all-time favorite TV intro has to be "Pistols 'n' Petticoats" the CBS comedy western from 1966. No TV show I've ever heard had a more outstanding musical introduction, it even tops "Here Come the Brides" from ABC in 1968.

"Pistols 'n' Petticoats" is about a family of gun-slingers called the Hanks. Every member of the Hanks family is a sharp shooter, and they keep their town nice and quiet. Great for the town's citizens, not so great for the town sheriff, the Hanks kept cramping his style! The youtube copy of the opening theme to "Pistols 'n' Petticoats" has been pulled. I wanted to share it, but I can't locate another copy to post here.

I am not a fan of Agatha Christie. Never read any of her books. So it was just a passing interest back in 1985 that I tuned in to the PBS/WGBH Boston Mystery series airing of the excellent "Miss Marple", produced by the BBC. It starred Joan Hickson in the title role and aired from 1984 to 1992.

For everyone who saw "Miss Marple" back then - you know where I'm going with this.I was able to locate a youtube video of the opening sequence.Keep in mind that this opening did not register with me the first few times I saw it. But as the weeks went by I HAD to watch the opening each episode. See if you agree: "There is nothing special about the opening to Miss Marple from the 1980's". Unless you see it over and over again!

There's something unsettling about this opening sequence that started to eat at me after a while. That pastoral music set against scenes of ordinary life are tinged with hints of something amiss. Is that really a dead body at the cricket match? Nothing wrong with the two women standing streetside by the shops - until the close-up! And is that the vicar entering the church? Are you sure?

Lastly, the impressive mansion. There's someone at the window. Maybe its the beautiful lady of the house. Why is she looking at you like that? How would you describe her expression?

And the music gives no clue to any of those questions!

    Air Wolf!!

Air wolfs intro was the best, and The Equalizers is a close second.
