Add me to this list cause i was 14/15 when I first saw it. Although in my area in played on a local station and they kept moving the show to different times so I never knew when it was going to come on. I thought Edwardo (sp?) was pretty funny, he was a good Venkman replacement.

The only thing that bothered me about the show was the guy in the wheel chair. It just felt tacked on and that the show was trying to be politically correct or something. Yet I think in the opening credits it shows him walking, you don't see his legs but it appears as if he is walking into the frame, not rolling.

This show fucking ruled. Seriously. I use to have about all but like 4 episodes of the entire series on my comp last year. I deleted them though. Gonna have to re-download soon, lol.

Shout out to Greengoblin - again, "Extreme Ghostbusters" ruled big time! Caught the first episode purely by chance and was hooked immediately. Did you catch the closing theme music? This was no light-weight cartoon fluff! Extreme Ghostbusters was stunning with some of the most eerie ghosts and spirits I've ever seen animated. This was the cartoon that made the adult in me sit up and take notice. Awesome series.

It's called "modernity" my friend... it takes good old cartoons or whatever in sight and transforms it in a complete piece of crap... lots of questions may be let unanswered, but I guess it's BETTER that way.
Nice to have Mr Monkey eating-an-ice-thingie back...

Well what about the new "He-Man" cartoon that came out in 2002 to 2004? that was a kick-ass reinvention of a classic show that manage to succeed.

"Extreme Ghostbusters" was not a reinvention but a spin-off or sequel to "The Real Ghostbusters" taking place where the original four Ghostbusters retired except Egon and hired some new recruits.

Exactly, "Extreme Ghostbusters" was a real-time continuation from the earlier series. The original Ghostbusters "busted" themselves out of a job with no more ghosts to capture. Years later, new spirits begin to appear. The old guard has retired. Only Egon, watching over the containment unit, is left to deal with a new ghost outbreak. Good thing he teaches a class at a local college. He can ask his students for help bustin' new ghosts.

If you have some time on your hands, the Extreme Ghostbusters episode "Grundelesque" has that creepy character the Grundel looking for naughty children to pray upon.

That show was awful. The Real Ghostbusters was 1000 times better than this garbage.
