    In the late 80's and early 90's The Disney Channel had probably the best Halloween lineup a kid could hope for. In October they would air great Halloween programs, but the night of, they had a lineup of some of the best Halloween programs ever created. Here's some of the rundown:
    1. The Halloween That Almost Wasn't;
    2. The Worst Witch;
    3. Witch's Night Out;
    4. Casper's Halloween Special;
    5. Mr. Boogedy
    6. A Disney Halloween Treat

    I would remember going out with my friends and sister to trick or treat then coming back home, eating our candy and watching all of these great shows. Nowadays, The Disney Channel is nothing close to what it was. It's just filled with bad pre-teen shows and hardly makes an effort when it comes to holidays like Halloween. Does anyone else have fond memories of these shows?

    I remember all these. Disney was so cool back then and their holiday shows were better than anything on TV. Now Disney has become a junkyard filled with teen shows and Jetix. Walt Disney would role over in his grave if he saw what Disney has become.

    I agree the Halloween shows Disney used to show back in the late 80's and 90's ROCKED.

    I miss seeing The Worst Witch,and Disney Halloween Treat at Halloween time.
    Oh well I guess that's what library,youtube,and ebay is for.
    It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

    I do not even think they mention Halloween anymore. It is just: "Now here is Halloweentown on the Disney Channel!"

    Tim Curry's music video in Worst Witch is one of the funniest things ever filmed.

    halloween on the disney channel is hardly mentioned anymore..its just become another watered down day there now..i blame all the teen shows that have taken over the channel, which is a shame cos the disney channel was cool at one time **sighs**

    I love Disney's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. They should show Mr Boogedy, too.

    The Disney channel is pretty much not for me, but since they own the rights to those, I'd definitely check it out if they aired them.

    I loved 'Disney's Halloween Treat'! It wasn't Halloween without it! How sad that all that good stuff has been axed. Now it pure drivel. It's like " Let's not show 'Skeleton Dance'. We have Zach and Cody cutting capers!" Hu-fucking-rah.

    I wonder what crappy lineup Disney will put out this year. Whatever it is, it's no where near what they use to do in their glory days. They really went all out celebrating the holiday.

    I agree that Disney channel doesn't do holidays anywhere as well as they used to. They used to do Christmas really well, too, but now that the worthless people are trying to stop us regular, real people from celebrating anything having to do with God or Jesus, they don't really do Christmas shows anymore. That last Disney show that I can remember that was at all Christmas-y was the Christmas episode of That's So Raven from a few years ago. The one where Raven messed up her gift and Santa sent her back in time to make it right. Then, her whole family got together around the piano and sang Silent Night. You would catch Disney doing this nowdays. Suck.

    I have a VHS tape of a bunch of Disney Halloween stuff from early 80s....OK I have the tape here it says (on the hand-written label)

    Tales from the Darkside
    Trick or Treat
    Disney Halloween Special
    Dr. Seuss
    Thanksgiving Special
    Bugs Bunny
    Daffy Duck

    I remember the Legend of Sleepy Hollow Disney put out...that was creepy!

    I love all these movies and still do. I remember fondly when I was a kid watching all of those movies on Halloween.

    I'm glad you brought this up. The Disney Halloween lineup was indeed the best. My favorites were the very amusing "The Halloween That Almost Wasn't" and the addictive "Mr. Boogedy." Timeless. Brings back the memories.
