Tales from the Crypt. The whole build up of that made the image of the Crypt Keeper popping out at the end even freakier.

What credits creep me out is the The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour in terms of its audio track (although visually, the scene with the big ghostly eyes scaring Scooby-Doo on the original SDDH and The Scooby-Doo Show openings may scare a few others) ... the opening brass notes almost sound like the 20th Century-Fox logo theme (referring to the long-running Al Newman score used since the 1932-35 "20th Century Pictures" logo).

Whether you're seeing any of its two main component shows... The Scooby-Doo Show (the 1976-79 episodes) or Dynomutt: Dog Wonder, the opening brass notes that start the opening title sequence on both series will have you turning the lights on.

Man lives in the sunlit world
of what he believes to be reality.
But, there is, unseen by most, an underworld,
a place that is just as real,
    but not as brightly lit.....
    A DARKSIDE.

The dark side is always there,
    waiting for us to enter,
    waiting to enter us.
    Until next time,
    try to enjoy the daylight.

heck yeah, after my parents went to bed, i'll just say that I held back that trip to the bathroom before I went to bed

I get the same eerie feeling with unsolved mysteries as well, which I think just about everybody can also relate to that

I was always creeped out at the end of movies or shows when the quiet subtitles came up that said "No Animals were hurt in the making of this film" or "In Loving memory......". It just creeped me! I was like "jeez...animals are getting hurt in the making of other films?!" !!! scary

I don't know if this would be considered opening credits, but the Universal spinning globe before certain movies. The letters coming out from behind the globe and circling around....I always had bad dreams about being on top of the letters and falling off.

Unsolved Mysteries most Definatly..Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Rescue 911, Tales From The Crypt, and though it didn't really scare me, the opening credits for the original Dark Shadows was kind of creepy.

That wasn't a skull that was the face of The Late Great Rod Serling the man who made The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery.
