No, because not all kids act that way. There was kids in my day who wanted to grow up fast as well.

Tell me about it. I knew kids that thought they were too old for cartoons or any type of toys at the age of ten. If funny (or sad) these were the same kids that had a child at 16, looked older than they should have and dropped out of school. If any young people are reading this enjoy your youth because once it's gone it's gone forever. You have your whole life to be "older".

I dont like bad kids a.k.a. kids that have no respect for other people and I have no problem with kids that wanna grow up that's their problem when they get older they'll be begging to be a kid again.

oh sorry I thought we were still on that topic.
But I do hate all the retarded teenagers who are ignorant and can't solve anything without yelling at the top of their lungs or fighting.
And I also hate the little kids who like hannah monatana.

I agree that while on the one hand it DOES seem like young girls dress sluttier these days (although this is not the first generation that enjoyed SHORT SHORTS...)and kids are having sex earlier(at least you hear about it more), but on the other hand, most of it has to do with us being a different generation. Saying you hate kids that love Hannah Montanna is kind of funny because it must be what adults said about us when New Kids on the block and Britney Spears and The Backstreet Boys were popular. Not to mention the kids that went gaga over Hanson and those Moffit brothers..I'm sure most kids parents had a choice word or two about Ren and Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead

I think the spoiled factor varies by how you were brought up. If one set of parents was brought up with rigid discipline they may have brought their kids up really leniantly so as not to seem like THEIR parents. However they couldn't find the balance between leniant and TOO leniant and their kids ended up spoiled..and their kids either passed on the spoiledness to their kids or they were able to find the perfect balance. It's hard to say because once you have been spoiled it's hard to really function in the real world. I mean you can still be a really great person but it can be hard to learn patience and hard work as an adult when you didn't learn it as a child. Then there are money issues. If you were never taught the value of a dollar you might be more apt to end up in major credit card debt.

    You make very good points.
Though I learned a lot of things like patience and stuff from TV.
You could see the consequences of things when someone does something bad and how it affects the other person. And how to fix it.
Also I learned a lot about sex, dating, and drugs off TV so I know what things are and what to do of the subject.Oh and manners.

You know what annoys me, is little kids who are cocky and are disrespectful to anybody older than them.

When i was that age, you watched your mouth unless you wanted to get beaten up. But, kids today cant be beaten up, b/c our society is so anti-violence that the little kids actually have more power than the older kids.

You know what annoys ME? Older people who are COMPLETLY disrespectful, rude and expect the world to hand everything over to them because they are entitled, because they are OLD. They expect younger people to respect them, yet they don't dish out the same respect. That being said, despite how rude SOME older people can be I am never rude back to them because like you said, I was taught better than that.

Just like all kids, all senior citazens are different. Just because you've run into calm senior citazens and bratty kids doesn't mean others of us haven't run into calm kids and bratty old people LOL

Kids have all this new technology to grow up with. Our family didn't even get the internet until I was about 11 or 12. I knew what life was without the 'net, but since it is such a vast resource of information, it is now technology that most people cannot live without. Writing letters by hand is a thing of the past, unfortunately. This generation is spoiled as crap. Then again, the economy is much worse now than it was when I was growing up in the '90s.

today, kids are growing up wayyy too fast..they're going to reach adolescence and adulthood, realizing that they missed out on their childhood, because they were trying to be "grown ups".

I'd been having a hard time relating to my younger cousins. They're about 10 years younger than the rest of us and it shows. They used to make no attempt to act mature enough for a conversation. There was a lot of whining.

Somehow, the older of the two wanted a turntable (I'm assuming his hip-hop loving friends had an influence) and of course my aunt bought him one. But when she dug into her old vinyl collection to let him test it out...she realized she'd given most of them to me.

I've been getting rather ill of kids today. I used to like it when kids in my generation (and those before mine) had better and more informative kid shows on PBS Kids and Nick Jr., but it has been more of this faux-educational stuff daily.

It's always been my opinion that you can never be too nice but it's not good to let people walk all over you either.
