Due to recent nostalgia for Legos (due primarily to the Wii game Star Wars-The Complete Saga) I am wondering what many of you think is or was the best Lego playset. For me, it would be the Black Seas Barracuda-the awesome yellow and black pirate ship with sails and cannon. While I never owned the set it brought me much Lego joy during my formative years. I did, however, have the Big Rig Truck Stop and my brother had a few Space play sets and my sister had a castle set. So, back to the question, what was it for you?

im a big lego fan, and i only collect the city playsets. even though its not retro, i would have to go with the town square playset. I mean, its a rehash of an older play set, so...

oh and the lego studios playset looked cool. i never owened it cuz my neghbor thought i was too young to play with.

    The BEST?

That's one heck of a question.

If you honestly except me to pick one, you're wrong...

There's so many I've played with over the years....

I was huge into the city playsets myself, but my favorite legos were my 3 huge 15 gallon buckets full of them that I had. Me and my teenaged sisters would take up the whole friggin table with entire cities, then I'd play godzilla.

I played with Legos when I was a kid back in the 1970s. This boy who lived next door to me at the time, and was my childhood playmate, had a huge box of Legos. He and I spent many hours building stuff like hotels, apartment buildings, huge houses, etc.. Many times he and I would work together building a single large Lego "structure"! Anyway, the Lego sets that were out in the 1970s I believe were the best. I remember one time I had a building set that was pretty much a Lego "knockoff", but couldn't be used with Legos. The "bricks" were all red, and were thinner, a little longer and wider than Legos.

My favorite set was Fort Legaredo.....and I had and still have plenty of sets. I took them out and tried to build all the models back up but they broke here and there. I just finished taking them all apart Saturday morning.....so now i'm itching to build them up again.
