And if the music is poorly composed the artist knows it not the person who listens to the music, they just see what they like.

All the wrong kind of rap is out there, that's why so many people hate it. REAL, underground rap (like in my sig) is good and comes from the heart. Mostly all music that's on the radio isn't the best kind that's out there.

The local bands that we have play on Friday nights at the comic shop are like Russian Roulette. They can either really suck or are really good. But for the most part folk music and filk (look it up!) sucks. But each genre of music has their 'talent' that makes you question life.

Ahh, you mean Death Metal. Heavy Metal is a bit different. Listen to a band like Metallica, which is Heavy Metal and compare it to a band like Six Feet Under, which would be Death Metal. There's a noticable difference between the two.

A lot of metal is bad, the whole bubblegum pop stuff, and new rap, and don't get me started on Creed and that bullshit.
I like tons of different stuff from many genres including in no order at all. The Pixies, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, Mos Def, The Residents, Talib Kweli, Tribe Called Quest, Bjork, White Stripes, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Clash, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, and many others.
Just depends on taste but if people have stuff to say and say it well I'll probably like it.
In another thread i clicked on a link to see a video of a song called "lollipop" by Lil Wayne. I have to say that's one of the worst things i have ever heard. His voice was synthesized like Cher's in that one pop song of hers.
