Thread: What food/drink/condiments did you hate when you were a kid but like now?

    I didn't like chicken all that much when I was younger, but when I was in my early teens I started to eat it (mainly in buffalo wing form).

    Now I love eating chicken in several different ways, like buffalo, parmesean and my personal favorite, a batter with the following ingredients:

    -4 tablespoons of mayo
    -4 tablespoons of ketchup
    -Generous amounts of seasoned salt, ground mustard, garlic powder and onion powder

    I mix up the batter thoroughly and then dip cut up chicken breasts in them, making my own form of chicken nuggets.

    Try the recipe out...It tastes great.

    Oh, I forgot the most important part. I use Italian bread crumbs for the coating. Cook it in the oven at 350 degrees for about an hour or so, and there you go. The coating may stick to the pan, but you can scrape it off with a spoon, and throw it on top of the chicken as well.

    The dressing originally came from my Mom, and it was just ketchup and mayo. I threw the additional seasonings in there myself one evening, and I've been eating it that way ever since.

    Lobster, which is too bad because I was a kid in Nova Scotia. If I had liked lobster then I would have been set for life. I do love them now and have lobster every time I visit Nova Scotia. I did like scallops when I was a kid, they reminded me of Chicken McNuggets, heh.

    Alot of green vegetables like broccoli and brussel sprouts it took me a while to get into.

    When I was a kid, I hated

    Mayo
    Garlic fingers
    Eggs
    Milk
    sandwiches
    peanut butter
    potatoes

    I still dont like potatoes unless they're instant or baked. I hate mashed. and I still dont like white milk unless its with cereal
